From the guy with the far out there ideas, comes...amazingly enough, another offbeat idea!
The basis of this idea comes from the song Master of Puppets, by Metallica, and the general feel of the song. Most of it is dark and definitivly metal, but the middle portion 3:35 to about 5 minutes, has a much lighter feel. I always have envisioned a battle between good and evil, light and dark. Basically, after seeing the knight Gyan that won a BAKUC, and thinking back about an evil mobile suit (I know Deathscythe isn't "evil", but the suit's design revolves around death and darkness, so it works ^^). I thought it may be a good idea to try out.
Basically, what I'm going to do, is I'm going to replicate the cover of the Master of puppets case.
http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=4736828without the Metallica at the top, as a diorama. It will not be to scale with the mobile suits normal sizes. The crosses will be either 3/4 as tall as the suits, or 1/4 as tall. I haven't quite decided yet. I'll be making it a display case, on top of which I'll screw in 10 rings, where the strings will all be bound. The deathscythe will also be tied, probably at the arms, head, and legs, because he is the "puppet". I plan to do some "evil" mods on the deathscythe, such as adding red LEDs for eyes, and using a Wing Zero frame for added poseability. I'm looking into the possibility of curving the white spike at the knee and the toe spikes, just to add to the whole darkness feel of him. If anyone else has any more ideas on how to make a deathscythe look darker, please tell me! I'll be using the standard color scheme, maybe changing the white pieces into black.
I have not bought my Gyan yet, but I will post ideas for him when I do. I have done some minor work on the Deathscythe so far, but really, not enough to warrant pictures. The main reason I created the thread was to ask for modification ideas on the deathscythe and get people's opinions on the idea as a whole. If people are dissastisfied, moderators, please feel free to lock the thread for the time being.
