I apologize for my absence from the forum, but I've been pretty busy lately ...
So here goes the last of my work, commissioned by a friend.
A repainting of a Hasbro toy in 1/6 scale ...   :twitch:
In this case I used the technique of lhairspray and salt, preshading and mottling , just to make me not miss anything ...   :P
Comments and criticisms are welcome!!!

Model Gallery / Star Wars Snow Speeder Diorama - Commission work
« on: June 25, 2013, 11:15:17 PM »
Here is another commissioned model ...
In this case I had only build the diorama, the snow speeder is an American resin kit pre-assembled and coloured.
I've done sides of the diorama (built with wood), filled with construction foam, DAS and a japanese white paste for the terrain, the first layer of snow is composed of water, PVA glue and baking, and then snow flock from Noch.
I'm happy with the final result, how about you?

Model In-Progress / Wip - Battlestar Galactica Cylon Rider
« on: May 21, 2013, 11:47:39 PM »
Here we are with a new wip, again a commissioned model ...

WIP - Cylon Rider

This Cylon Ryder has a good detail and is very simple, just a few pieces and can be assembled in a short time. As you will see later, however, this model has also evident print defects...

Assembling: as usual (three models to three of the Moebius have this problem) we find ourselves in front of the large gaps between the pieces. Fortunately, this time just a little bit of glue and clamps to fix almost everything ...: D

Painting: for the first time I attempt using the technique of Mottling with Alclad, I'm not able to maintain a thin line, probably because of the airbrush or pressure, I still improve in this aspect...

Now I have to pass the transparent Tamiya Smoke, do washing, chipping and see how to finish the whole thing ...

Model Gallery / Darth Maul Bloodfin
« on: May 06, 2013, 02:19:04 AM »
Here's another finished commission, this time it's the Darth Maul's bike from Star Wars, made for Action Figures in 1/6 scale.
The work that I was asked to do was to grout the joints and screw holes on the side and recoloring according to the standard scheme, with weathering.
I redid the entire engine compartment, which was really bare ...
Here are some photos, others and the wip can be found on my blog... ;)

Model Gallery / Zaku II Johnny Ridden - NKGC Orange Contest
« on: September 02, 2010, 02:11:41 AM »
After the Gundam Head, here one other model I've finished in this time, the Zaku II for the NKGC Orange Contest.
He did not come just as I wanted, but I am satisfied with the result.
Compared to the original model, I modified the thruster attack on the legs, add some details and various panels and some options part.
Unfortunately, the metallic orange came not as I expected ...

Model In-Progress / NKGC Orange Contest 2010: Johnny Ridden Zaku II
« on: May 11, 2010, 11:21:42 PM »
Ok, for the NKGC Orange contest, I finally found the model to do.
It's the Johnny Ridden Zaku II with a color scheme inspired me (I'd say copy it faithfully ... XazzX XasdX) from SL with a very nice SD Zaku ...
Here are the pictures:

This one...

Will have this color scheme...

And the Zaku with some upgrades (It's the first time for me in detailing...)

Model Talk / Mega Size 1/48 Gundam
« on: April 04, 2010, 09:38:29 AM »
Finally I got the big box from HLJ, and what can I do?
A beautiful series of photos for my blog and forum's friends ...
I must admit that the box is huge, as well as its contents!!
Mega size is more marked for budding model makers, easy to assemble although well detailed (but here you can indulge in superdetailing!!!), but seeing pictures of the book done in collaboration with Dengeki Hobby and Hobby Japan, once finished and colored, makes his good figure ...
The book in question is very well done, with a mini-guide assembly, and staining with a fair amount of images of the finished big model.
Finally it is striking to compare with the OYW Gundam 1 / 100 ...
It looks like a bonsai!!!!!
Ok, next the pictures ...

Model In-Progress / Gundam Unicorn Head Display 1/48
« on: February 03, 2010, 12:25:11 AM »
I was able to buy the Dengeki Hobby January 2010, with attached the Gundam Unicorn Head in 1/48 scale. Only two Sprue are contained in the package, an entirely white, and a transparent red.
I must admit, however, remains very funny, although fast, the assembly of this display base. In all I'll build it in an hour or so.
Of course nothing has been glued or plaster, but I will do later. What interested me was to build something undemanding to relax a bit ...
So below with the pictures!!

Magazine, box and model ...

Model In-Progress / Great Mazinger's Brain Condor
« on: November 19, 2009, 03:34:17 AM »
Hi all!!!!
I'm here with a new project.
It's a non scale Brain Condor from Great Mazinger anime.
The model is a 1998 release from Bandai, and is a wheeled model for child.
But is a good start model.

Here the box, with all the sprue inside. There's a little Mazinger model inside, but it's really not good...

I've started to modify the Condor, drilling and cutting off some of the bottom part, where the wheel will be inserted.

Here the pilot, Tetsuya Tsurugi and the cockpit. I've modified a 1/48 scale pilot, cutting off all the detail on the torso, and rebuid the suit. Also the helmet has received the same work. The cockpit is a full scratchbuild made with Milliput and plasticard. It's not really similar to the anime one, but the space into the tail are not too much...

Here an image of the full Brain Condor

Ok, sorry for my poor english...
