Absolutely excellent... I like the skin tone for this. It's hard to get black people's skin tone right.

Dutch is def a bad A$$. I like the entire crew of the Lagoon, they mesh well. First anime I seen where the bad guys are well the heroes of the show. And the good guys just gets tangled up in it.

P.s When will we see the guyver in the background.

Just got some Micro Sol... Decided to use it on the shield of my Wing Ka. That stuff made me so nervous because it shrivels up a lot on big decals and looks like it gonna ruin the decal... the 2 step process with the set and sol look awesome... no silvering or anything... almost looks painted on.

Should I FFA it again after I am done decaling or should I leave it?

LOL... that brightened my boring day. Just got out a 2 hour meeting and was surprised to see some paddling. Anyways, I agree with all of you modelers who say it is a skill that requires patience and effort. I think the worst part about this world is that it is shake and bake. People expect everything to shake and bake. I work internet and you should see all the uppers tell me to do stuff like in a hour or less, never gets done but they say it anyway.

I just got back into modeling like last year and have only completed 3 since... 2 FG and a HG Zaku from Seed. On my current MG, I started buying the supplies I REALLY needed and have decided to build 1/100 for a while. I think I spent $35 for the modeling and over $100 for supplies. It's a hobby and as such it should be treated as so. It's not a competition nor a race, unless your doing a build off. The person should enjoy it at their own leisure. Finishing or not finishing it is completely up to them.

I really like what you did with this guy. The pink turned out fantastic. I like the styrene strip use on the legs... Only real men will pilot a pink or lavender mobile suit. This gundam series really changed the way the mobile suits in the gundam franchise look.

I realized dealing with Tamiya's flat black... it is a little lighter in color than Testers Flat Black, which allows for more visible seam lines. I notice too if you straight FFA it, it looks darker. Did you you use one of your FFA mixes? Satin?

I failed to mention that I Primed all the wrong stuff (reds and golds)... and then straight painted most everything else. Found an issue with the metallic spray lacquer. Primed it and then ran out of paint. Since I ran out of paint I went and got another can and then found the metallic blacks look different based on the shacking of can and etc. Yeah I will be mixing from now on and priming the entire kit with multiple layers of primer. Actually I better look this up.

So I completely nübbed this when I posted my original "In Progress", so I went and took some photos and with my point and shot and the macro lense I am still trying to learn to use, so for any fussy shots:

So after photography I found a few things to clean up. And I will too.

I am actually working with adding decals and have found a few things I wanna clean up and then re-FFA.

So I searched the internet to see how I was gonna build my first MG. Foo has a lot of really good tips. Stuff I would have never thought of. So I used a few of his pointers.

So I started out with a color scheme change... I absolutely hate the red, white and blue scheme that the Gundam universe uses for every hero's gundam... So I wanted a metallic red and black. The metallic black is a mix that Tamiya all ready offers. I will never use it again... it sprays out glitter and clumps. The red was based off Foo's cooper and clear red he did for I think a Griffon? The gold was also a Tamiya lacquer spray, not as vibrant as the acrylic.

What I learned: Since I am relatively new to building gunpal and modeling... I have had some troubles with changing the base color to something else... I also have found that I like air brushing acrylics over spraying on lacquer... that stuff is easy to scratch off...

Whats next:
Something from the G00 universe. I want to do Double 0 or an exia... maybe even Virtue... I have not seen any Virtue builds yet.

I am happy to take any pointers or critiques.

No one said he was basing his color scheme off of the NEW gn-x's. Keep the peanut gallery comments out of the thread, unless they are constructive or useful don't bother posting in here.
Yeah, what he said. ;)

My apologies guys... my comment was based off the timeline remark FF said about Exia being captured... not an attempt to change his direction.

Honestly I think this thing will look wicked awesome. Been thinking about building a Double 0 when it comes out... I would like to see what everyone does with the GN Drives and clear/glowing parts.

Dear Bandai Claus,

How are your brothers Shaft Claus and Santa Claus? Hope there good... I have been good this year. Here is my list as follows:

1/100 MG Nadleeh and Virtue
1/100 MG Exia
1/100 MG 00 Gundam
1/100 MG Gundam X Divider
1/100 MG Transformable VF 25 of any kind

Love Slade, master of blades.

Please bring bring back Tekkaman models.

I fell in love with 00 Gundam when I first seen it on the second eps of the S2 of Gundam 00. I might even be pre-ordering mine... I can see this crap getting expensive at the Model store in my hood. They wantded $54 for a HG Exia and even more for MG Freedom. Told them they could 'sit and spin.'

Well I know what I want for my birthday from my co-workers... 00 Gundam!

Some one remarked that the Bandai was not going to do any MG in UC for a while... I say good. What about some more MG wing stuff that's not just Ka? None of the other GW gunpals were not MG'ed but wing and zero.

So lets see... a 10 month revive is in order here.

I am trying to cast with EasyCasts Clear Resin and other crap I bought at Michaels and they both suck. Any one got any ideas of what I should cast with? I have been on smoothOns site and I am lost like a 10 year old in a porn shop. HELP.

EDIT: Search feature is God on the Smooth On web site... Found: smooth cast 321 resin... Anyone have any recommendations with this stuff? IE... can I wear my contacts while casting? Fumes from Easy Cast will eat your contacts while casting.
