somehow, looking through my stash last night, i got an inkling to do another msv project...

base kits for this build:
> 1/144 HGUC zaku-1
> 1/144 EX magella attack

the EX pack came with two kits, so maybe i could do another zaku tank variant...

this would take a wee bit more time because of those crane arms...

I haven't seen that particular Zaku Tank design before.  I thought you are going to re-work one of those old MSV kits when I saw the title.  One thing about the EX kit bash with HGUC is that the top is going to look horribly plain compared to all the nice details of the tank part eh?  I look forward to seeing your progress.

hmmm...maybe, i think i got another one of those old magella attack kits somewhere...lemme see if i could dig that up this weekend...

you're right major, looking at the EX kit, the detail is just amazing...that's why maybe the crane arms would balance off the amount of detailing...i'm also looking through a few AFV threads like francesco's beautiful AFV builds and techniques on how to properly accessorize this project...

i'm also thinking of doing this variant...

hmmm, it's actually the one shown in the 8th MS team series...my favorite gundam series...

this was the one driven by the 8th MS team's comm's officer eledor massis together with michel ninorich, who's their hovertank pilot, while trying to escape from the zeon forces occupying a village where the apsalus prototype was being repaired...(Gundam 8th MS team/ Episode 5)...

incidentally, there's a guntank> tank retrieval variant shown in the opening video of that series...

a related old build...

more pix here...

the torso connection seems to be a generic type for zaku tanks, so some of the details from this old build should still be relevant...

I really need to figure sketch-up out. Your crane illustration looks great!
