Model Gallery / Millenium Falcon
« on: February 18, 2014, 11:39:10 PM »
Hi dudes its been a while.
Here is my Fine Molds 1/72 Millenium Flacon I built and painted may be 2 years ago. It was in a hobby shop and I brought it back home to display it at a hobby and SciF-Fi show next march at Migennes France.
I built and painted it following Mike's tutorials which were very helpful. At first I did a base color a too dark so I had to repaint the whole thing and start again with a light grey color. I did the mods on the upper and lower decks to simulate blasters damages. This is not that difficult if u take your time and make this kit a little bit more unique.
The only issue i had was the with the canopy. Everything fits perfectly exept this piece I mean the clear part. But at the end it s ok. Special thx to Bengrimm who did the shots and the Photoshop work.

4 years later...
Le résultat est plus qu'honorable compte tenu des circonstances. voici les photos.

Here is my version. I started with the PE parts, cleaned the resin and primed some parts.

Hi everybody,

I Started this kit in april. It tooks me about 2 months to built it. I don't know how many hours but it's long very long. Lots of pieces are very small and some are very very small  :D
I did blaster scars and impacts. I'am not very satisfied with the scars but It's not painted yet and it's hard to imagine what I would get when painted.
I already painted the cockpit and figs. As you can see I'am not a fig painter  :yucky: But it's enough. I don't think poeple would blame me for that.

Next step I will paint the whole kit and the red and yellowish panels then I ll follow Mike's vids to practice oil technics. Thanks for watching and comments are welcome as usual.

Model In-Progress / G-System 1/60 Kämpfer

Hi dudes !

As I almsot done my Garbaldy, I decided to start my 1/60 G-System Kämpfer. Actually mtomczek and Stell-Mark Wip helped a lot. I wanted to compare my resine and plastique frame with Stell-Mark full Plastic one.
I didn't face big issue with it. OIt's pretty easy to build even if it leans to its left. I shoud fix that when the frame its completed.
Everything is well casted and but the plastic calfs. The joiction between these part and the lower leg parts is "crap". Should have been better.
What's your opinion Stell-Mark ?

Still have the arms to build. I have lot of fun so far. Hope you'll like it :-)

Hi dudes, it's me again.
First thing first very special tahnk to Alberto who did this beautifull kit and who resend me a copy for free after the first one was lost by postal services.

I am curently customizing my kit. I think it's a good base to add details and cool stuffs. I take my inspiration from old race cars and dradgsters from the speed week in Utha on salt lake.
I re watch Burth Munroe yesterday I love this movie.

So here are the mods. I will resape the back of the body but I first need to place the cockpit insid to finish this step.
I added some parts here and there. I think it's ok. May be will I add an antena I see if it fits.
I wonder if I will repace the original 'exhaust' by a modififed one for a 1/72 SR-71. Let me know what do you think about that

I hae fun with it. It's easy to build.

Hi dudes. Here is my first try in scracth, kit bash. Special thanks to ZLuca who gave me some advises.
My Briegel is in pieces in a box. I want to repaint it but it needs a gun. So this is the occasion for me to try to build something with sapre parts, epoxy and milliput.
The challenge for me is to build a thing with Luca's spirit som'thing that will match  Briegels design.

Here is the body of the gun. I still have work on it

The gatling is from a 1/60 Gouf resin kit. I only kept 3 resin parts. The canons where rebuild from styren tubes as the original were odds.

Hi, No I didn't stop doing things but winter is cold here and it's about 4°C in my basment so it's not that confortable to paint even with a little heater.
So I decided to improve my Buddha tree. I was not satisfied with the laszer cut leaves so I tried a new solution that gives a pretty nice result IMO. Now the pics.

Hi everyone,

This is my Build your own Briegel Back on the bench

What I did with this kit was pretty odd. I learned things since I built it so I must come back and complited it with the rules of art. I picked it form the box it was sleeping in. I checked the parts and started to put it into pieces.
My goal is to make a diorama with Bengrimm using stuffs from our big 1/35 dio. This dio will be smaller may be 60 cm x 60 cm but not bigger. We planed to put the over truck and the buddha tree on it.
I will have to improve the tree aswell.
Stay tuned

Hi dudes here is my version of the VF25 from Macross Frontier. I chose the Gerwalk mode so I glued almost everything to stay in place and to paint more easily. Eze told me the camo of the gun is overdone. I share his opinion I'll fix that later. Here are bad pis but pics  :P

I did this kit in 2007 but never took any pics or post it here. I did a personnal camo schem and modified the cockpit with an optionnal resin chair from an 1/72 helicopter.
I design the decals on Power Point and print them myself with a lazer printer. Unfortunatly I displayed it many times at differents shows and some parts are damaged.

« on: May 13, 2009, 03:06:58 AM »
Hi everybody,

I am currently bulding a diorama with friends and I needed to put vegetation on it. I also built a big tree that needs leaves.
I surched stuffs for months but didn't find the acurate things till I went on HLJ and found these paper laser cut leaves.

I didn't use them yet but very soon I went back and tell you more about these leaves.

Done, I'am gald this is done. I had some much problems with this one. My painting choice were wrong and I paid it cash. Actually It's a very nice kit when displayed on the shelve. It's my first 1/72 scale and I think this is a good scale for Gundam kits. I hope you'll like it any comments are welcome.
Matt you will notice the 1 mm styren sheets I puted under the foot to stabilize the kit. I think it's a very good option. actually you should place those before painting the kit to hide them.
