This is looking great, mang. My only suggestion would be to transition the road into the dirt/shrubbery. As it is now, there's just a flat drop off, and most roads aren't like that.

Wait, how'd you weather those decals again? I would love to know! Thanks.

Roger. I just brought home an empty spray bottle (was used for general surface cleaners). I will give it a shot sometime this weekend, as well as brushing. There's a few small details on the figure that I want to stand out with a high gloss finish. Thanks!

Well, what I tried ended up failing miserably. BUT! I did get a much nicer weathering effect. No more decal left, though. Ha ha.

I'm assuming my process should follow as thus:

Primer > Base coats to show up during weathering step > set decal > seal with Future > hair spray > paint layer base coat > weathing > final seal (gloss, matte, etc).

I'm still worried about unintentionally damaging another decal. They get expensive to make. :P Can anyone provide tips, tricks, pointing me in a different (i.e. the CORRECT) direction? Thanks! :)

Any tips on weathering decals? I'm probably going about things the completely wrong way with my process, ha ha...

I'm making an axe... going to have a giant Autobot logo on it. The axe is already weathered (first attempt at using the hairspray technique, also, which was fun)...

Nevermind the gloss on the decal. I snapped the pic before the decal set had dried.

Does anyone brush Future on? Or is it only recommended to attempt with an airbrush?

This looks incredible! The amount of detail here is almost overwhelming. How long did this diorama take to do? I'm building one of my own - I may just have to harass you for information! :)

It looks like the first Zaku is missing something on his back pack? The tubes on the sides don't appear to be attached properly?

Looks good. Although you changed the angle of her hand and it looks like she's reaching out welcomingly instead of defensively.

Very good point!

This looks amazing. Thanks for sharing!

I picked up a few sheets of sticker gems at Michael's. When I saw them, I had an epiphany.

I finally got the new wings in the mail today. I think they're going to look great.

This looks beautiful. What paint is that on the front of the nose there?

I've begun building up the 'traps' on either side of the head, to better line everything up with the way the shoulders sit.

I also started sculpting the head last night. There's quite a few more layers to go, but I think it reads well.

Finally getting some parts primed, as well. I have slight imperfections to correct with the feet. They'll be ready to show off soon.

Question...

I want to replace the wings, but I am up in the air with what I should go with.

THIS

OR

THIS?

Cheers.
