Well, hi guys..
This is gonna be my 1st post here.
Been doing this since end of june, initially thought of doing it for plamoâ€™s WOOB 04 but sadly my time management failed miserably, so now towards the end rushing for Malaysian Bakuc..

This is what Iâ€™m building now

A freshly snap fitted kit at my frenâ€™s workshop

I shall start off from bottom up (the orders are not in original chronological orders but I just find it might help to view what Iâ€™m doing at the moment)

Feet:

What i did was basically elongated the tip of the feet (similiar to the design of the resin ver.)
then i scratched build (SB) the ankle armor (also similar to the resin ver.) as i've raised the leg height, leaving ample space between the leg and feet, the moveable ankle armor will cover my ugly interior jobs

feet sole detail:

this are jus detailed with tiny strips of pla-plate and cable tie (black)

Rear of the heel

details were added using kotoparts and ic sockets.
i split the heel part (with masking tape) bcoz i don't rili like the original design, looks pretty clumsy. since there some gap between the splitted parts, i added some paper clips as cable/piping line.
well it's not quite done yet as i'll post the sole detailing later (on top of the masking tape)

LEG:

well, since this is a hguc kit, details are pretty limited so i added extra detailings in the groove area, and strips of evergreen styrene alongside the edges

increase the height of the leg

(this design oso quite similar wt the resin version but mine is uglier

)

THIGH:

tried some heat sink patern design on the rear thigh, spilt some of the thigh parts.
remove the knee armor (it's kinda ugly to see it joining the thigh as a whole). will be SB the knee parts later.

GROIN:

Modified and lengthen the pelvic join.

detailed groin area.

Front skirt

Just detailed the edges with 0.3mm styrene sheets.

Side skirt

CHEST & HEAD:

Head Detailing

Chiseled out some grooves on the side of the face

Detailing done underneath the head part

Neck

Slotted in 0.3mm pla-plates to fill the gap.

TAIL BINDER

Chiseled out some grooves, deepen the panels, added kotoparts.

WING/SHOULDER BINDER

What I did was to trim off the original shoulder binder at around 20-30% length, this is to ease me to apply sandwich of pla-plates (styrene) of thickness 0.6mm + original piece + 0.3mm
After trimming the edges need to be filed abit so it will be easier to conform to curve as I bend the outer 0.6mm pla-plates.
The rest are puttying and alots of sanding..

Then the interior were detailed with strips of Evergreen, some SB parts to fill the void area of the extended wings

Some detailing on the outside of the wing binder was done too.

Wow - very impressive mods! The only criticism I have about it is the ankle armor:

It's very boxy and angular in shape, whereas everything around it is curved, and flows with each other. Maybe make it more of a curve shape?

Wow! I like the detail in the model, I am amazed with all of the scratchbuilt detail parts for a 1/144 model.

Oh! This build makes me overjoyed to see.
The Quebeley is one of my favorite designs, and it's getting such wonderful treatment here. Your work with the plastic sheeting her brilliant and creative, I really can't wait to see how this one turns out in the end.

some updates again

the feet sole part where the details were add on from the shape cut out of the masking tape in the earlier foot sole pic

again, nothing big here, 2 layers of pla-plate (0.3 & 0.6mm), some koto parts and cable tie, and manual cutting and sanding to get to the shape i want. still.. it's far fr perfect

so i took a small pic...

despite to name those who had help me out alot i stil feel paiseh getting 3rd price..
this kit is not even near completion :uhm:

i'll justify the reasons once i got the kit back and post those non-completed parts..

by the way, i feel weird to post post-dated wip pics but i knw i miss this parts as i was rushing like a mad man for the pass last 3 weeks felt terribly burn out and feel like wanna puke even doing sanding..
