Hi Everyone,

It is a long time I haven't post anything, I build this kit during year 2012 which giving me idea concept of deep striker with advance Z area technology. With this build it truly give me a lot of 1st time experiment on implementing LED, Intensive scratch build part as well as try and error on the design concept as i go on building over the years. I can say this is my mile stone achievement that would able me to access this method for future kit build. I hear alot advice from master said the more you build the better you get.

Please enjoy the view and all C&C are welcome for my improvement.

Thank you

Yamato 1/60 VF-1S (Unassembled Kits)

Hi everyone

Well I like to share with you that this is my 1st time assembling a yamato product. Mostly yamato product comes with end user assembled kit/toy but this rare appounitity I can gain experience in assembling a toy kit instead of modeling kits.

Well a small review from me during this project. I'll be discussing what the pro and con about this newly release product from yamato.

Pro side is
1)   I found that the plastic is more way durable then Bandai model kits since it made with for playable durability than Bandai.

2)   It is same as any other yamato 1/60 Valkyrie except instead it was pre assemble this one we have to assemble it out self.

3)   I also find that most of the best part for yamato brand runner it only end up 1 sprue on every part unlike Bandai it had multiple sprue on the runner to the part.

4)   It is twice cheaper price than any yamato reassemble VF.
Here is the example of the runner.

5)   It gives us quite a number of decal which is worth it considering the price for it.

Here is the decal view (quite large izzit it)

Wait here more if those of you don’t like decal they also provided sticker type.

6)   Multiple die cast part and screw which is very very good for more durability during transforming. (Bandai should learn this for their own VF 25 modeling kits)

Here is the die cast picture

Ok I think that what I can think of from the pro side. However the con side is this kit wasn’t for any average modeler or collect as I found out  it was very challenging to assemble one with a confuse assemble guide book.

1)   A very very confuse assembling guide book. I think this is the worst guide book in my modeling time.

2)   Well if it wasn’t enough for the bad guide book!! It also happens to be the runner wasn’t even label at all and I mean NO indicator for it.

On the guide book has written the runner part but on the runner itself has no indicator label on it or whatsoever!! that is like a blind guide line with guess part and puzzle to assemble the kit which is  a very NO NO to any modeler

Here is picture of the manual

And here is the runner’s picture where the indicator label is ?????

3)   On top of those 2 nightmares here comes the 3 nightmare NOT all part is from the runner. Some already precut out from the runner and package it in 1 plastic bag like this

Recut part picture ( OMG OMG WHAT THE HELL ??? which part is for which part … fainted  -omg- )

Ok that what I had for the con side area. Hoping that  yamato will consider improving their guide line and maybe they can still stand equal to Bandai in near future for their model kits production line.

Ok enough of the complaining now starts building

During my 1st assembling I found out that some part need a metal to slide to the part for durable articulation movement but is was a very hard and risky that it might break the part if sudden force on it but I found a better way to over this problem

Here the cockpit that I had resemble so far

Well that all for now. Will update you guys soon.

Hi everyone

well is a long time i haven't post in any kits, Nowadays I been busy with my study and work togather which leave me little time spend on hobby stuff. Anyway I just took of a little time to do some relaxing build from one of my favorite anime FSS, This is my second time build thing this kit.

but look like this one is way more harder than the 1st one i build which is L.E.D Mirage -vomit- . I really like the design from Knight of gold version 3.0 but buster launhcer from the 1st version of K.O.G. So I end up making my own K.O.G version C. Other than that I give it some extra detail color instead of entire pure gold. -what...-

Overall view

after I taken the picture i realise the gold part are easy expose all the dirt from my finger print...  -omg-

that all for now.

Hi everyone

Finally I able to finish this part of the project which i started a year ago. After I on hold for serveral month as I notice my self lack of experience in doing the resin kit and I decided to take an improvement step from the basic start with coloring basic concept and then Abing technique. Then later doing a few experiment on addon pla-plate with as clean as posible in finish.
so with a year experience I finally with abit of encouragement from friend all over the world especially those local that is zero gunz(previous was zero G) member to decide to resume my sazabi resin kit.

This is my latest project kits which involve all the skill and experience I had over a year result.

Thanks  mtomczek glad you like it. also good luck to your 1/72 scale sazabi. I really admire you building those big guys.

I hopelly this experiment work well.

well here abit update from my sazabi

the main color already finish. Toning effect done. Look like my cam doesn't have a very accurate image. need to buy new better so it may show more accurate coloring. It doesn't show well in the image for the bright coloring shading.

overall view

chest view

here some tutorial for coloring toning on the red part. I found out that the red coloring is indeed difficult to control as red doesn't cover any dark color so by that i took advantage of coloring and shading with with base

here some of the example.

after done shading the base make 1st layer coat red on it

as u notice the red will always be transparent color to any darker color as this goes one another few more later

as the result you able to see it will give auto shading from the previous shaded white base.

as you able to see it has too much gloss on it  which make it abit like too unsuitable for my liking. so I put a few layer of flat on it as the result as better than gloss one

here the comparison before and after flat coat (I hope the image able you guys to see it)

hope this will help those who play coloring toning for red.

other than that I like to show you the result of color toning result for darker color

as you can see those color are came from 1 color one midnight blue (mr no 71). As my experiment result you can able to see the difference color which allow it to show out the details by going to just preshading, postshading and hightlighting *(all this are mix with  (yellow, brown, intermedate blue) to create this effect).

That all for now. next phase is color detailing. and almost done. :)

any C&C are welcome

mtomczek, clee-cm, fulcy   - Many thanks guys for the support. well lack of comment is ok as mostly is kinda comment among the forumer. but you guys are great support

nico - haha well not sure yet until the product is finish then only decide what type of style to pose.

Thanks everyone for the support.

Anyway well is been a while since last year update. Look like this might be the 1st kit I'm going to completed it for this year.

Well today Manage to finish the sazabi weapon and shield and also manage to try out my 1st LED installation. So far so good but still need to figure out where to put the source power within the sazabi unnoticed.

Here what I have done so far

Overall view for weapons and shield

Here is the size comparison with rx 78

well here is the mono eye led installation

looks like it need some more planing for hiding the wiring.

other than that is time for the coloring I will be using back the normal flat color as I think resin kit for mecha doesn't really suite glossy color. But that not the main reason.

The aim for this project I'm trying out new technique of Abing tone color which is consisting of post shading, preshading and highlighting. This technique is very interesting and mostly use by figure coloring to allow express realism.

So I'm going to try this on my sazabi and bring out the detail lively instead of just normal 1 color shade.

Notice for the concept of toning color you need to know the basic of coloring before you able to apply on it.

For example for red color you need to have white color base so it will give better the red color. So before I start put red I will put white as base 1st then only apply the red color on top of the white.

Since this experiment is color tone so I'm doing preshading on the white base 1st before apply red color then only lastly go for post shading red.

1st step shading, preshading and highlighting for the darker internal frame is done.

Here is overall

Back pack view

Leg view.

Tone color effect done!!

Here is the external armor WIP coloring tone.

The external preshading and post shading for the base color is done.

That all for know. I hope my explaining won't confuse you guys in the process.

All C&C are welcome

Hi everyone

well last few week after bakuc i'm super busy but after my exam was over and i able to have some time to concentrate on my sazabi build. This week I manange to clean and correct the flaw from the resin casting. I also addon some extra detail on it for my own taste.

here overall view what i have done so far

here is what i have done for extra details added.

here is what it looks like when prime

that all for now. any C&C are welcome.

mvm3897  - thanks buddy, your dio also very nice and creative. A dio does create a story which make everything intresting.  ^_^

MG 1/100 MS-18E Kampfer Evo Ver C My BAKUC 2009 entry for second time.

1st of all I would like to say thank you to everyone that supported me by giving me some confidents, sharing knowledge example Comments and critics and morale support. Without you guys I won't able to stand in that stage on 29/11/2009 and won the merit prize.

Thank you very much especially fellow from Modelland Adrain and his friends who teach me how to improve my ABing skill and Zero G member for sharing modifying skill.

here the full Clearer Picture take taken at the compy (thanks to Julius, honeymic, Backy and inquisytor)

and some picture I have taken after the compy.

enjoy the view. Any c&C are welcome. :)

here some update new picture thanks to some of my friend who snap it during bakuc event.

enjoy. :)

thanks balliga

well here is what i do in my coloring.

Internal frame color - gaia silver base color.

external armor color - super silver from Mr hobby base color then coat with clear blue and red

side armor color - the red part is use to color with red and orange.

weapons with base color silver and dark iron then wipe it with cotton bud to achive the dark silver effect.

well I can't messure ratio due to i use to play around layers by layers in clear coloring until i get wat the colours i wanted. well for example the colouring armor blue if too over it will turn to purple and if too light it will turn in to green. if correct perfect amount it will turn to this colour which can have effect of change colour when near a light and also depence how the light sources are.
