Capitalism Corner* / [WTB] Piggies

Hrm I know this is a long shot.  But I bought two of the Akuyaku no.1 when it was first released (pre-ordered, that's how excited I was).  And then a little while later they released the same tank but with additional crew figures.  So you might ask what's the big deal?  Well, I'm incredibly fond of those little piggie fellows designed by Miyazaki, and would like to get a hold of them without busting another 6,400yen without shipping (and for the third tank).  So I'm asking if anyone knows of a place where I can order them (maybe a member in Japan can help me out with the lost part ordering?), or a place that have them recasted and I can buy them.  I know it's a long shot, but do want a crew to man my mighty Akuyaku no.1!!

Build-Offs & Duels / PP - 1/72 Savoia S.21

The impossible has happened... :twitch: :twitch:  I have started working on a kit!

This my entry for the Propeller Pirates Group Build, the famed Savoia S.21 piloted none other than Porco himself!!

It's a relatively small kit with not that many parts.  I've started cutting parts off the trees and the assembly.  Saw the intake of the engine was a little too plain, so decided to add some metal pipes to spice it up a little.

Right now nothing too too exciting.  I think it'll be an OOB, maybe a base...I'll see how this goes.  Hmm...I probably will need some peer-pressure to make sure I don't put it aside and wander into something else...happened too too many times before.  :embarrased:

Model Talk / Name this action frame

Got a question that's been bothering me quite awhile already.  Does anyone know what is the name of these frames, or the company that makes them?

I remember seeing one of these guys on some Japanese site with a gundam head and something that looks like diaper!

They look very much like Microman, but I searched the microman series and cannot find them.

Model Talk / Another gallery/review site

So I think most of us here use Dalong and Hobbysearch to check out what a kit looks like before buying (or even not buying, it's fun to check :D).  I stumbled on a site today that really showcase a lot other non-gundam models.

Here's the link

The top one is gunpla stuff, make sure you check out the new TR-5

The second link is to the non-gunpla injection kits, mostly by Kotobukiya.  I think the SRW section is simply phenomenal, I've never seen so many well built SRW together in one gallery.  Some of them had mods, but most are just simple OOB so it's good for review as well.  And I can already see Tet have a good time in the Armor Core section.

The third and forth link is to toys I think, MSiA, HCM-Pro, GFF, all that stuff.  Check out the Revoltech section, fun fun!

The fifth is figures I think, didn't spend time there.

So all in all just want to post a site that can chew up a lot of your time and bandwidth.  Enjoy!  8)

Model Talk / Special edition RX-78 Real Type
« on: January 10, 2007, 07:00:08 AM »
Saw this at Dalong just now.

Initially I thought there must be 3 gundams in that box, but upon closer inspection, 3 sets of sprues were required to get the color from the plastic "right".  What a dumb way to do things, no wonder it's "special" edition...

A bottle of paint, anyone?
