I really like the muted colours. Quite appealing!

:twitch: HGUC Dreissen? Screw the Doga, this is the best news since the HGUC Zock!

I'm amazed someone who has the skill to recreate something so closely and cast it isn't busy building their own creations.

This suit reminds me very much of one of Fernando Fernandez's designs in Zora.

It is very interesting and organic. Like an Aztec design overgrown by technology instead of nature.

Psycho paint job! Good work  ^_^ It's nice to see something unusual, the world doesn't need another green Zaku.

5th Luna you are easily one of my favorite modelers on the net and it is very cool to see you work on a bigger scale! This project looks amazing so far, I can't wait to see the result painted.  ^_^

I'm just gonna say this in the friendliest way possible: I think your drinking has become a problem!

 just kidding! I would like to see some weathering. You could drive across America with it and take perspective pictures with it in weird locations. The same lighthouse in every state!

I really like it. The metallic finish looks a lot more realistic than most I see. Not sure about the red on the leg though, I really wish it matched the red on the torso.

Thanks for the comment! I'm glad the colour scheme has been accepted so well by most people  ^_^

The kit that came in first in that contest was radically different from mine, it was a diorama and very Armoured Core-like. I think it appealed to the judges more than my crazy 80's Zaku from a design standpoint...  :meh2

This kit was for a local contest at Metropolis Comics. Myself and a couple of friends from the Gundam Workshop days decided to do a group build and spring it on everybody at the event. Unfortunately, I was the only one that finished.

The kit won second place in the contest, and features: aluminum thrusters and monoeye from Ako, B Club resin hands, scratch spikes, scratch feet, modded rear skirt featuring a screen cut from a dollar store sieve, photoetched parts from Korea (brass parts on the shoulders), modded head from HGUC Garma's Zaku II, plate detail on the shield, added rivets and other minor details.

Thanks for looking!

I think Italy has the best modelers in the world. Thank you for posting, this is very inspiring. Especially Fabio Pavese's SD Operation V. A gorgeous finish and best use of those cheap bakgrounds I have seen.

I never thought of RC paint. I guess it does have to be quite flexible. Thanks for the tip!

Does anybody know any good flexible paints? The object is a soft plastic and will endure a lot of bending (think surgical tubing). I know Krylon makes a 'plastic' paint, but I'm not sure how it will hold up to cracking.

As long as you don't plan on reenacting some creepy crossover fanfiction...

Can't wait to see how you handle it all. Lucky guy out of school already!

I had this kit for a long time, but when Fifth Luna built his I got scared of building it. I wanted to do something really fast over spring break and this was the most simple kit I had around. I started on Friday, so under 6 days start to finish.

Sorry for the crappy photos!  ;)

I have been interested in these egg planes for quite some time... they look good! I just wish you'd have painted the canopy.
