Bandai 1/20 Scopedog

If you havent gotten one of these kits and like to build mecha, do yourself a favour and get one.
This is just the standard version, I have the metal spec version that I will do later down the track.
It's the first time I've really done weathering this heavy, I like it and might have to do more like this later down the track

Wow Hemish thats some sweet weathering! I totally agree about this kit its fantastic, and a great mech. My first dio on here was a junkyard scopedog, so it always has a special place in my modelling heart.

Great job dude, you've made me want to track down another one!

That's *great*. I think it really says something to take what is verging on a campy and old-fashioned design and make it look completely believable using just a paint and weathering job. I particularly like the close-up of the head and gun, it's badass.

The weathering process, well I just watched a bunch of videos so I had an idea of what I wanted to achieve with it.

Jiloo, mate grab one, they are a good kit with next to no seams and the kits are pretty much under gated on nearly all the parts

I've never been a huge fan of the design myself, but whenever I think of a Scopedog, this is pretty much what comes to mind. A kind of old and busted weathered look. You've captured my imagination very well

Wow, if this is your heavy weathering, I salute you, sir, and respect your restraint.  In my experience, when someone says "heavy weathering," the end result is more like "got sandblasted and run over with a garbage truck."  The kit looks absolutely fantastic and the weathering looks realistic (well, as realistic as it can on a giant robot, ha ha).  You did a great job.
