As per my previous projects, I'm slowly migrating the WIPs into our website. Here's the WIP for the 1/144 meteor unit i was working on (still working on  :embarrased:)

Starting a new thread instead of digging out my old one. Still in the midst of sorting out the pics and doing the write up. More updates will be coming along in the coming weeks. Enjoy!

As usual, comments are most welcome!

FANTASTIC job on the hatches!
The diagonal patterns much have been a b***h to make but it's worth it!
The engines are really cool too.

This is looking fantastic, the LEDs in it really up the kit a lot. Also, the tiny tiny detail is simply great, your cut aways are more like hatches which makes it more interesting. Instead of looking like a machine bay diorama kit, this thing looks like it's ready to do a full charged blast.

Great WIP, as always, I'm really looking foreword to more work on this.

Wow, the detail on it is really good. Quick question, how did you make the minus mold cavity and how did you drill the two small holes right next to it. The flat piece looks thin so I was wondering how you managed to do that without drilling through it.

thanks crazedpanda. The minus mold cavity was just drilled right through the plastic, and a small piece of styrene stuck on the inderside to cover up the hole. As for the 2 small holes, i just manually drilled it halfway through the plastic with a pin vice. Its not that difficult actually, because the plastic is actually very thick.

Oh, I see now that the depth of the hole for the minus mold is the depth of that cavity. That makes a lot more sense. Great job so far....when do you think it's going to be done? Don't rush it too much because I really enjoy all the WIP pictures  :D.

Crazedpanda... the ironic thing is, I AM trying to rush it, but I've taken 3years now, and i still do not see this thing finishing anytime soon. Hopefully this year... hopefully...

Here's a long overdue small update.
