I had snap fitted awhile ago and decided it was time to go back and do it proper.

Internals were painted Burnt Iron with Chrome highlights

Overall colours were Dark grey undercoat, then light grey over the top, for the green it was JA Green then some white added to highlight. Chrome was used for the sabre handles, thrusters and knee and ankle joins, will probably go back and spray it on the elbows too.
Its glossed now and only needs its decals, panel lines and top coat to finish it, hopefully by Tuesday or Wednesday next week.

Finally finished this one.
This had been snapped and on my shelf for ages.
I really did hate sanding and painting those tubes though, man were they a nuisance.
Custom colours again
Had cut the original spikes off an placed the koto option ones on there instead, few little extras added here and there, the smaller gun is also from an option kit which was meant for a 1/144 kit but I thought it looked great as a small gun for a 1/100.
Anyways here are the pics, fire away.

Took the advice from the last one I did and added plenty more decals.

After the Flat coat and light weathering done, I used the Tamiya Weathering kit (sand one) for this kit.

In combat formation with the other, I have a Zaku2 in progress at the moment and I plan to add that to the base so it will have the 3 of them together.

Man thats some slick work, I cant wait to see this finished.
The shoulder pods look like a proper product not something scratch built.

I dont care if I have to fly to the US to pick it up myself.

Hi all, this is the latest to come out of my Zaku factory :)
I'd never really understood the idea of the blue and green colour scheme this thing had, and I guess I never really  liked it either, but I decided to try it and see how it came out.
This was originally going to be a factory fresh piece, but I didnt think the colours lent themself to be clean, it needed to be scuffed so scuffed it was.
It was given I think about 6 coats all up, primer, silver, gunmetal or burnt iron I cant remember then the colours then the gloss and matt coats, I think it could do with another matt coat probably and will try to get it done over the course of the weekend.
Anyways here are some of the pics.
Factory Fresh

Then the Battle damaged version

Overall I'm pretty happy with the way this turned out, The damage/weathering is something i've been wanting to improve upon and I think this came out to how I wanted it.

This was my first attempt at shading a kit, pretty happy with the way it came out and I think the colours worked better than the standard blue and green, its a straight oob build with bandai decals applied. Overall pretty happy with the kit overall and I have to say I like how the shading came out, so I think I will be trying it on my kits from now on.
Anyways here are the pics

If it wasnt for the fact that it would have to travel half the world to get to me and more than likely be trashed by the time I got it I would be all over that, well that and i'd have to ask the wife too :)
But that is some seriously slick work, personally I think it looks way better than the code 3 version and that goes for some decent change too.

Plastic in the shield has been taken out. Will airbrush the joint on the back leg today.
Awaiting some proper decals to arrive before this is finished proper.
But in the meantime I thought I would share a couple of outside pics :)

I have to admit I was kinda scared to post here as the works I been seeing in here are amazing, but I figured what the hell.
Ok, So this is almost complete, just trying to decide on a colour for the panel lines and then to add the decals after that.
This is my third MG kit and my second  painted one, the first is on hold as my wifes dog got into my room and ate one of the pieces I had drying at the time, and wont be finished till the replacement part comes along.
Colours used were Tamiya acrylic Deck Tan(xf-55) and the rest is Tamiya Deep Green (xf-26) with Sky Grey to finish it off (xf-19),joints,guns and inner parts Tamiya German Grey (xf-63)
For the panel lines i was thinking a very diluted black, maybe even a mix of black and medium blue. Suggestions for the panel line colours while the topcoat dries are welcome :)
Here is the kit so far.

The big gun has a small seam still showing on the underneath that must go, but other than that I think its coming along nicely.
Comments, critisms are all welcome.
