Crimson skies is fun, very unrealistic but the stuns and stuff are amazing.

hmm, would it involve a corsair of some sort??  :)

Tamiya 1/35 JGSDF Light Armor Vehicle (if anyone has real-life ref shots of this (it's currently deployed in Iraq) let me know)
Tamiya 1/35 JGSDF Iraq Humanitarian Assistance Team (Goes with the LAV)

I remember seeing pictures of a real one from pictures of Tamiya convention (one in states, or is it the one in Japan?)  I remember seeing it...probably the Japan one...

Man, you're hooked on those MaK stuff, I gotta get me some!!

Absolutely great head mod/scratch build.

My gut feeling is that it might be a bit too busy in the shoulder/arm area.

But one of my fren said that the color is too light compare to the original Titans ver.

What do U think?  :)

My honest opinion would be that it's not too "light" but it is not "blue enough".  I don't know how to put it in words but there are a few shades of baby-blue and this one is not the most blue one...  :?   I'm lost myself too :D

Well, play around and do what suits you.  I'm sure the result would be great!  We all know what you are capable of.

I like it, especially the yellow trim on the skirt armor.  The light blue is interesting choice though.  8)

Excellent find Phil.  The price is not bad either.  I am very tempted to inquire to see if he ships overseas.

They got them at Michaels?  I'll have to make trip then.  I liked his dias in general, but ball bearing at the gun tip is a bit too much for me (unless it shots metal balls??)   :P

Time time time!  If only I got some time for modeling...

For some reason I can't sit down and do an OOB.  I always want to mod something.  First it would start small, but quickly got out of hand.  Combined with the fact that I'm not that good and modding and not the quickest with my hands, I have a slew of models at various stages of imcompletion.

Hey, if I'm as good as FF maybe I'll enjoy the painting part more.  Now it always involves some sort of damage control.

From what little I gathered it has to do with Lupin III (episode 155:  さらば愛しきルパンよ)

This is the cockpit of some robot lambda...

Further research indicate that this is none other than the robot that looks very extremely similar to those in Laputa.  Some guy is crazy enough to attempt a scratch build of this monster in 1/6 see it here & CAD diagram

Update:  This guy is absolutely crazy.  super scratch builder!!  :!:  :!:  :!: Check out this scratch build Raiden In progress!!

Model In-Progress / Perfect Zeong Color Scheme (In Red)

I somehow thinks  a little more white might help to blend the red/yellow to the grey.  I like the idea though.  Are the flames going to be airbrushed or decal?

Neat idea to use real picture to try out colors.

Hi-vis reminds me a lot of L-Gaim.  To be expected, I suppose...

That is very true.  I didn't realize up til now that you've mentioned it.  Must be a sub-conscious thing...L-Gaim is one of my favourites designs.

Ha, FF I admit I cheated by looking at your Shiki for some inspiration.  Thanks for the masking tip too, I'll keep that in mind.  I personally like the low viz more, so maybe I'll do a pair of that.  It all depends.

Fulcy feel free to borrow the scheme for whatever you want.  If you want I can email you the psd file to save you all the trouble of making layers and such.

So I've recently scored two rather economical Shiki's (one from Fulcy) and I was fiddling around with Photoshop with coloring the linearts.  I have the pair of high and low viz colored up and would like to share it for any comments you might have.  Special Thanks to FF for his wonderful lineart coloring tutorial and Fulcy for the wonderful deal.

As usual, I won't actually starting working on the kits for a long time.  Between graduation and the graduation trip I don't see this happening by September the earliest.

A pipe cutter is what you need, but I doubt it can do such small thickness.
