Those details are awesome!  The weapons look a little out of place on a giant robot, but they look badass!

Nice paneling and colors- looks like the Cima gelgoog.  My eyes may not be as sensitive as others, but it looks like the purple and red could have used a little more shading though.  Fantastic build!

Those panel lines are intense!  Very neatly done too.  What scale is this though?

That is quite impressive for a 10 day build!  I like those braided cords you added too.

Neat! I like the rusted copper statue look of this kit.  The bazooka may be a bit too clean looking in comparison to the rest of the kit.

Hi, just figured it was time for me to stop lurking and say hi.  I hope that I can eventually reach the very high level of skill I've seen from everyone on this site.

Grey Testors seemed to have worked ok!  Thanks for the advice- I'm not sure why the grey acrylic would not show up against the black while the enamel would.

What color would be recommended for doing the panel lines against a black model?  The greys I have used (grey tamiya acrylic, grey and light grey stabilo technical pens) do not show up at all against the gloss coat.  I do not want to use white because it would mingle with my white stripes.  Suggestions?

Sounds good.  Thanks for the advisory and advice.

Has anyone used frisket to mask parts for painting?  I saw online that vinyl tape can give cleaner lines, and was wondering if anyone had experience masking with this.

Thanks.  I guess I'll get to work then!

Is there an efficient way to paint all the beads on the tubes?  I'm slightly worried about the inner rim being partly visible if I do the reverse tape skewer method.  The only alternative I can think of is to paint them on the sprues.

My airbrush teacher takes a piece of tape, lightly tapes it on his pants, and then uses it to mask.  This picks up a little bit of lint and makes the tape a bit less tacky, but you may have trouble getting crisp lines with this technique.

Acetone (nail polish remover) may work depending on the primer's composition.  It's fairly safe, and also terrific for ungluing skin with airplane glue/superglue/cyanoacrylate.

Are there any tables showing what colors should be pre-shaded with what?  I noticed a few in this thread, but moar would be helpful.  Also, how do you add shading to white?  Would it be a very light grey undercoat, followed by the white?
