Painting/Priming / Re: aqueous hobby color + tamiya

You can mix the paint from two different acrylic paint manufacturers, but be aware that the paint color you create may not be as durable; in other words cracking, chipping and pealing years down the road. Every model paint manufacturer will formulate the paint differently. You are better off mixing Tamiya colors to get the colors you want, even gloss, semi-gloss and flat colors; you will have to use gloss or flat coat afterwards.

I agree with the overall sentiment of the other posters, the ship's design is definitely very cool. :-) I can image a whole community of these ships moving about in a huge harbor.

The model's weathering looks great, I like the way it turned out. Your little story about a scuttled German war machine is a very interesting read.

Great job!!!  8)

So far so good... :-)

I am happy to read that you are having no issues with the legs, I was wondering how the legs would hold up the rest of the model.

Keep up the great work, I can't wait to see the finished model.  8)

Congratulations Luca, your even more famous now!!! :-)

I am glad your still working on this project, I thought you forgot about it. :-) The panel lines look good, I like the way they turned out.

It's looking good so far, keep up the great work.  8) ;)

Great paint job! :-) The plane definitely stands out, I can see Gainax paying the air force to paint one of their planes like this.  ^_^

Great job on the kit, I like the way you improved the look of a otherwise bland Revel kit. I like all of the kit bashing work that you have done so far to improve the look of the kit, especially the Browning .30 Cal. machine guns you used to detail the engines.  ^_^

Keep up the great work!!! :-)

Great job Mike... :-)

Both the models turned out great. I can already imagine a whole fleet of them going to attack the death star by dropping a photon torpedo down a exhaust port.

I.E. Drop a marble into a bottle from a car driving at 75mph.  8)

I also saw my friends kit from E2046 and it looked perfect and didn't smell much at all?(I really don't understand who steals and who doesn't though,so I just stick to the known legit stuff mostly)

When it comes to resin casting in places like China (this is where g-system and e2046 has their casting done) it's a real mix bag, sometimes you get a kit that smells bad and some times you get a kit that does not smell at all, it's a really a role of the dice with many resin kits.

I have had my share of kits from G-system and e4026 that smell bad and some that don't smell at all as well.

I guess the type of resin used depends on who is hired to do the job at the time.
