Hi Guys

it's been a while, here is one of my latest works, finished in July. I think you will easily understand his new name. The custom paint has been a real headach, it takes me a few month to try many solutions.

The mods :

- Custom color scheme (no decals used, everything is painted)
- Mechaskunk option parts
- Full scratched weapons
- minor panel lines added

The pics (thanks to ben-grimm) :

Thx for comments

thanks ! In fact the big "M" on the hood is not a decal but is .. painted, because I destruct the original decal as I tried to apply it ! I use microset and microsol decal softener and applyer but in too generous quantity so the decal teared in multiple pieces, my only solution was to paint it so I print a model and I used masking tape. On the back it's oly a panel line.

Hi Guys

Here's a little work I made to begin slowly after my holidays, to change from mecha. The kit is from polar lights, I was seduced by the neoretro design from the car, honnestly I never seen the movie or the original manga. I'm a little bit disappointed, just a few minutes before taking this pictures I teared one of the "5" decal on the sides with a piece of masking tape, sad but I don't want to spend longer time on it, that's why you see only the same side on all pictures  (maybe later I would try to apply custom decals)

comments are welcome !

some update on this thread which didn't move since 2 month  :-)

painted the interior of the option parts

the upside part of the kit except the backpack is painted but I didn't fix all the parts

the thigh in 3 colours

I painted the interior of the shoulder and the back of the side skirt

here the feets, some green touch on the forderground, it is brighter IRL, I finally decide to use the tamiya acrylic green and not the kawasaki one I found finally to "flat"

Hi Guys !

A little ex model limited edition (metallic plated) I found for some month sales on hlj, I tried to save with some painting. I didn't succeed to remove all the metal layer so near of the kit you can see some difference of level. I'm satisfied with the final result, next time I'll choose a regular model

here the pics !

some minor updates

new panel lines on the front skirt

which continue on the side (I'm not keen of them, I find there not clean enough)

here the side skirt with the definitive pose of the trusthers

I open behind

And a little mod on the leg.

I think I'll choosse the bigger one's on the sides, in fact I don't really care if it lokks realistic  :-) here's a first idea of the color scheme

it's not definitive, I just begin with legs I have to finish the idea for the torso but I'll conserve the spirals on the legs and the color will be a flat white, kawasaki green, dark and metallic greys. I'll try something more complex on the right shoulder.

Thanks for the idea, I'll continue to think about it, if I can I would try to do as less mods as possible, I really want to concetrate of the paint. Is is not disturbing if the large boosters shock together ? the originals one didn't

Hi guys

I'll try my first WIP in english, this new project is off course based on a jagd doga, no real scratch, a few new panels lines, some styren, fulcy's option parts and principaly a special and very original (I hope) color scheme. In fact I think I've the idea of the color scheme before I choose the model for it. I'll explain later my choice.

just snapped :

Some doubt about the thrusters :

I think here I'll choose the left one

this one will not change.

the bigger problem is on the sides, two thrusters on each, at first I didn't won't to replace them but after looking at the snapped kit, I realized there are most visible I thinked but I haven't a thrusters with the same dimensions, so 2 solutions :

too big likes this

or too smalls

I prefer the bigger one but It's maybe too much, I don't realize.

other question is there a tip to fix the trusthers to the kit ? I've thinked to fix them on a styren rod and the in the polycaps but there is probably a better method.
