\nthe GB out here.<\/a> I’ve based it off of a real-life
\nmonowheel as well as a racer from Venus Wars.
\nThis will hopefully be a sleek racing looking
\ncraft when it’s complete. What I really like about
\nit is the large area for graphics on the sides
\nof the wheel. That’ll be fun to design for. I’ve
\nthrown together some quick designs, but am not
\nsure what my final will look like.<\/p>\n

The difficult parts of this build
\nwill be the rounded sides covering the engine
\nand such and the wheel\/rim. The sides I have a
\nsolution for as you’ll see below. As for the tire\/rim,
\na friend of mine offered to maybe lathe it up
\nfor me if he can get access to the equipment.
\nI still need to find a cheap 1\/24 cycle kit with
\na rider (Heller makes some) so I cna use some
\nof it’s parts and modify the rider. I’d like to
\ntry and make this a resin kit so that I could
\ndo a couple different designs and see if anyone
\nelse is interested.<\/p>\n
For the sides, I wanted nice smooth
\nround parts. I bought my daughter a wiffleball\/bat
\nset a few months ago and saved the part of the
\npackage that covered the ball. I LOVE blister
\npacks for cheap clear plastic. I ended up using
\nit as a sort-of mold for making the rounds. I
\npoured some resin into the blister and swirled
\nit around until it hardened. When removed I got
\nfantastic round shapes as you can see below. The
\nfigure is a 1\/24 Tamiya figure I’m using for scale
\nreference.<\/p>\n
