Hi,

Man,lots of ideas flowing! This GB is great,I enjoy every single topic I read. Keep on the good work, gang! :)
After seeing Bryan Kruger´s flying things I decided to do a quicky ´tape-together-model` to show a new idea for a light aircraft. No name or affiliation yet, since I´d like to see if it looks Ok and hear what you guys think:

http://jukabala.tripod.com/id34.html

B&W pics to help the visualization. It´s supposed to be a high wing, two man observation plane. The cockpit is inspired by an airship gondola with large frontal and side windows since I want it to look very fragile, I also plan to attach some insect like antennas in front of it. I plan it to be 1/48 scale,so I want to know:
-the wingspan is too small for low G?
-there should be a bigger engine? Or should it be a glidder??
_there is need for a rudder(s)/stabilizer(s)/other control surfaces?

I didn´t decided how it take off but it will have some kind of landing gear/skids for sure.
Please let me know what you think

Cheers,
J.

u-huh...

that's definitely in the lines of miyazaki...i can imagine snapshots of "conan, boy in future"...
post-ww2 technology with a dash of clunkiness (oversized gears,old-tech wheels and rims, oversized piping for framing, belching exhaust systems, non-aerodynamic profiles)...

 LOL

Very nice! That's the helocopter that the MaK PKA suits came from. LOL I like the design a lot. I think the wingspan looks fine and it'll be interesting to see some antenna floating out of the front. Very bug-like which I love. Smiley

J,

Love the buggy. Looks like it almost built itself.   The MD500 plane is very cool too. There are some nice designs being generated very quickly around here.

I wonder about the guy that can sit through a David Lynch movie and say, "I saw that coming."
