Hello,

First time user with some issues using Vallejo Primer with my Iwata CR. It clogs frequently and I get a lot of tip dry. I have tried varying air pressure but it seems anything below 20ish psi it will start to splatter. I have also tried thinning it with 91% Isopropyl but didn't see any difference going through the brush. Maybe I'm not doing the mix right? (but I have read that it goes well straight out of the bottle)

I'm also having trouble cleaning it. I've ran 91% Isopropyl and Lacquer Thinner through it, and it cleans, but there's quite a bit that gets stuck in the nozzle so I end up just having to take it apart and give it a ultrasonic bath in Super Clean.

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? I'm thinking of just trying out Tamiya Surfacer, instead.

I used Vellejo Poliurethane Primer. Brushing with Iwata HP-B (0,2 mm nozzle).
I have diluteted it with Vallejo thinner and some distilled water. Get a nice smooth surface. Will post a picture later.
But I've change it to Gunze Mr. Surfacer 1200 and get better results with ease.

I've heard people get good results when diluting with Gunze Aqueous Thinner or Lifecolor thinner. Or just some 40% alcohol like vodka.
