Base Color:
  • Primer:Army Painter Black Primer rattle can
  • Base: Humbrol Matt 33 Black+Matt 66 Tank Grey
  • Base Color: Andrea Color AC-42 Brown Leather

"..I know I can immediately remove Andrea Color with water over an Humbrol base to obtain a chipped effect like the "hairspray technique".. but without hairspray nor airbrush.."

Some notes:
  • No oils this time, only acrylics: Andrea Color AC-42 Brown Leather, plus Vallejo 981 Orange Brown for highlights and 941 Burnt Umber for shadows
  • Repaint most of the black, big chips with Brown Leather and an old brush. It will reproduce the effect of Gaia Notes lacquers on edges
  • Wear and tear the paint with a steel wool finer grade and a toothbrush. It will add some depth and will be ready for decals, too.
  • Blaken-it for power pipe coils
  • Lifecolor Dust and Rust Diorama Set for the exhaust
  • Andrea Flesh Paint Set for the figure (not my best face, I know.. but it will be barely visible behind the glass)
  • Andrea NAC-22 Pearl Grey for white ID bands
  • To reproduce this AFS as seen on the Wave site, you need small writings from a Luna Pawn decal sheet
  • Top varnish with Lefranc&Bourgeois matt spray can

Glad you like it.
It was a fun and relaxing project.
I have many of these laying in their boxes somewhere.
From time to time, I joust open a box, add some paint and shake well LOL
