My Fichten fish just finished... the base is temporary. I decided the peaceful submersible was purchased by a British industrialist and shipped to the UK in 1892. After years of use as a pleasure craft is was donated to the Royal Navy following the outbreak of hostilities in 1914 and pressed into service as a convoy escort.

Looks awesome!

If you've got more pics and want to share, let me know. I'll put them in the Industria Mechanika customer gallery.

Thanks. The black and white camo is inspired by the "dazzle" schemes used on ships - particularly during WWI. Not sure whether, the combination of Dazzle and copper sheathing works but I didn't want to lose the copper completely, just didn't want an all copper boat.

There are some good examples of real life dazzle schemes on the wiki page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dazzle_camouflage.

I thought I'd try my hand at figure painting as I wanted someone to Act as a scale reference standing next to the 1/35 scale fish. These two bring the total number of figures I've painted to three... still a lot to learn.

The choice of figure had a bit to do with the back story about this fish being forced into service as a convoy escort during WWI.
