I'm in the process of building my first PG kit and i am most likely going to use Danny Choo's tutorial for busy people, http://www.dannychoo.com/post/en/213/Gundam+Modeling+Tutorial.html . Now my question is how to go about going the panel lines, and what type of paints to use for that. I can probably do it with a gundam marker, but it doesn't look as good, so i was wondering what to do for a panel wash. what type of paint to use and techniques. I am going to paint the gundam parts first with tamiya spray paints - which i believe are arcylic so should i use enamel paints and a thinner to do the panel lines after that has dried off?

I like to use oils thinned with turpenoid to the consistency of milk for panel lines. You can also use enamels thinned with naptha or mineral spirits. Some people like to use ink, but I'm not sure how these work over acrylics.

It's also good to have a gloss acrylic clear coat over your base coat when you do your panel lines.

You could also give the new Tamiya Panel Line Accent Colour stuff a try. It's basically prethinned Tamiya enamels I think, but it come with a tiny brush in the lid for easy panel line painting.
