How to undo pearl color effect

Im fairly new to painting gundam kits so i have a question concerning a model I just recently got. Its the WZC pg pearl edition, and I want to know if there's a way to make the pearly white parts look more like a normal non-translucenty white. Does anyone know of any paint that will help me accomplish this. I like the rest of the color scheme on it, just the transparency kind of takes away from it IMO.

AND.... does anyone know or have experience in panel lining those pearl parts? does it come out looking better?
