Testors Flat + FFA?

I haven't been able to find this on here, but due to the complete unavailability of Tamiya anything where I live, I was wondering if anyone had tried Testors flat + FFA to create flat FFA?

Not 100% sure what your asking…

…but if you want to mix FFA with Testors it wont work as one is acrylic (water based) and one is enamel (mineral spirit based). Basically like mixing oil and water.

…if you want to paint FFA over Testors, than no problem.

Ah yes, allow me to clarify.

Is there anything i can substitute for Tamiya clear flat when making Flat FFA?

I don't think so, if you want a acrylic flat base you will have to use go with Tamiya. I use Tamiya Flat-Base but I have to order it over the internet and have it mailed to me. My local hobby shop tries to carry Tamiya products (it's a big hassle to order the stuff), but it's easier if you try and order over the internet. 

The issues in the past has either been relabeling of the paint bottles from Japanese to the local language, changing the formula of the paint, or changing manufacturers in Japan.

Try looking around the internet and see if any of the internet hobby shops have it in-stock.

I actually found some Tamiya, guess i wasn't looking hard enough :)
