Finally got some work done to the kit after taking a much needed mental health day…LOL

Finished the washes and added the final flat coat over all the pieces.  I tried out Vallejo clear flat acrylic because I’ve had good luck with their purple and all I can say is WOW.  That stuff is amazing and it sprays on so well after thinning with water.  No frosty look or white specks either.  Just a clear dead flat coating.  I can’t say enough about this clear.

Anyway on to some pics.

Looking great.  I love the purple. I just see a bit of bleed through of white on the knee but the flat coat looks very nice.  I sometimes get a frosty look or specks when I use FFA.  I guess if you use to much flat base you can get those side effects.

Thanks Matt!

Yeh, I love the purple too as it came from Vallejo and it looked great from the bottle.  It actually changed to a deeper shade after a few coats of Future gloss but it came back with the Vallejo clear.
I did see some of that white on the knee caps and hopefully a quick touchup job with a paintbrush will fix it.

Wow. Nice work. I never had much luck with Vallejo paints though my airbrush. I love them and use them all the time for hand painting, just not much luck with the AB. I didn't have much control with them. Again, love the paints though.
This is cool man. I can't wait to see the assembly. Base? Dio?

Been working every night as I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and it's so close.  Doing some assemby and drybrushing to bring out the details and it's done.  I do have to repaint the e-cap on the gun as I didn't like how the decal turned out after the final clear.  Then some minor touchups here and there with a painbrush and...ta da done!

Just going to do a nice paintjob on the action base and then call it a day for a while.

Some pics from last night.

I really like the finish on this. The faded white just makes it look "real". Big Grin
