WOw, this is looking great man. :twitch:  8)
I recently have been using foam to add shape as well. Sands off nice too. Makes one hell of a mess though. (I had to use it on a huge bunch of area, so lot's of dust)
Loving this wip. Can't wait to see it done. Looks like a great model.

Another update. Everything is done except for the arms and wheel strut. I originally ordered the wrong tubing so I have to wait for the right ones to arrive. Aside from that, I just need to do some minor cleanup here and there.

Please, let me know what you think. Thanks!

Joe

Thanks! I'm excited that it's nearing the end. Hopefully there will be enough interest.

Great work, the wheel is perfect. I didn't imagine all these details when you shown us the first images of the droid.

I am in love.  How much do you think this will cost for a copy of this bad boy?

I cannot wait to see it fully painted.  Could you take some pics of the whole body from a wider angle?

Nico, I didn't expect this kind of detail at first, either.  Little by little, I've been pusing myself to make this a good as possible.

Major, I'll post new pic tonight after work.

You did the right thing. Actually it's just a box with a wheel. But what you are doing is not just a box with a wheel.

Once again, thanks bros! Your words are very much appreciated!

Major Williams....I hope this pic is what you were wanting. I threw in the 12 oz. can for reference. Sorry, I couldn't take more....just got of work and I'm dead tired. LMK if you require more shots.

I received the new tubing for the arms and wheel struts. Tomorrow's gonna be fun! Thanks for looking!!!

Joe

Haha, for some reason I thought this was at least twice as big as it turned out to be.
Regardless, it's still looking pretty sweet, looking forward to seeing the wheel assembly :)

Wow, hehe, a 14-inch CTrap would be crazy cool, wouldn't it! Hopefully it doesn't deter you from getting  a 7-inch CTrap...... ^_^

Well, here is the wheel strut...almost done.

I, too, thought this would be significantly more huge.  But I really like that it's small.  Seems more manageable that way.
And I assume you're still going to kit this?  Because I would totally buy myself one of these.  Maybe even more than that.  :P
It's looking really great!
I do other things, too.

Sweet! I'm glad you feel that way. Oh, and I hate to prematurely announce this but if you like game robots...like say..... a 7" Clank....I might be able to answer any needs for one soon.

As for this robot....there will be more than one version. The set plans as of now is a run of the red punk CT version after the regular version. I'll more pics as the parts are ready. Maybe eventually more versions will come.

You could make a fortune kitting that, or at least selling painted recasts.

Isn't painting them the fun part?  ^_^  I might offer some build services. I'm not a lighting guy, though. Got to learn up on how to light with leds. This one is going to need it. I'll start an official interest post for kits here soon.
