Looking great! I like the toned down purple too.
Have you considered putting that rod into the marines foot? So it looks like he's starting his jump but you can hide the pinning?

I'm late to this thread, but I couldn't resist gushing about how awesome this is. My eyes were in WIP utopia scanning the pages. At first I wasn't sure about the red, but your tight line work really brought that together. Although I agree about the "Oh shit" Marine instead of the tendrils, but this is your piece and you vision. Keep up the awesome work.

I just bought those same little Tyranids yesterday with the hopes of turning them into a Zergling for my diorama. Unfortunately they are waaaay too small for my piece, but seeing your work here inspires me to assemble and paint them up anyway! They are definitely cool little creatures. Yours look so creepy and realistic. I love the patterns along the carapace of the Heirophant especially. It's very real-world inspired and I totally dig it.

I've seen some people add acid spittle and drool in the mouths - any plans to do that here? Oh, and if you want anymore of those Hormugaunts, just give me a shout. I had only planned on using 2 or three of them anyway for my diorama, so I have 9 of them that I don't have anything planned for.

I will try to add some acid spittle, firstly to base and if it will be OK I will add it to model.
I think that 6 small tyranids will be enough, Thanks!!!

Continue:
To add some battle feel I decided to add two more Space Marines: one with heavy weapon will be in the building and second marine with power claws will be ready for close combat. Shocked marine will be from the side.
