Read this over at CoM made me think about buying a 1/144 one.

That's very nicely done. I think the author may be confused about the scale though since the 1/144 Psyco is as large as a 1/60 PG. It's a piece of beauty though, especially since I never liked the Psyco.

yeah if you had the room for it! it would be way bigger than the 1/144 dendrobium.

Even though I don't like the pyscho to much Anyway this is some good work. nice paint job on the thing and some good modding.

The author is definitely confused... that's an improved Psycho Gundam roughly 1/144 scale--not 1/60th. This is more than evident in the scan of the page showing the WIP Pyscho next to the HGUC. I'm normally not a fan of the semi-shiny metallic look, but it really works on this thing, and it's some damned fine work. I wouldn't mind having that HGUC myself now...

This site has pics of all the current 1/144 HGUC kits, all  are possed next to a mug which should give you a idea of scale.

yea the stock psyco needs alot of work done to it but thats for all HGUCs in my opion. Also I think the psycos main problem is the proportion of the chest and the head if that was to change along with blandness of the armour it would be sweet.

God you're right, I didn't recall how bad looking it is!
As for the good looking one, I don't think the guy cared at all about scale, only about looks (yeah I'm Mr Obvious, I know). Still, it's some expensive kitbashing...

You're right about expensive, in one of the captions, it states that it is a kitbash of the 1/144 HGUC Psycho Gundam and the 1/60 PG Strike Gundam.

Actually its not really that expensive. The Strike PG is one of the cheapest PG and has one of the leanest frame. Very useful for such purpose. Ditto to the HGUC Psycho price.

If you look carefully at the unpainted model, the modeler scratched ALOT of parts including whole areas of the torso front/cockpit area. That is PRICELESS. :)
