I have had some trouble with painted thruster and metal parts.  Seems that I always mange to F things up during final assembly.  My paint is chipping or rubs off with to much handling.  Do you guys use a metal primer such as Mr. Color metal primer before painting metal parts?

I usually use a self-etching primer for metal parts.

I usually use the duplicolor self-etching. It's olive green. Mr makes a clear metal primer though.

I use Mr Metal Primer. Never have any problem with it. I also use Tamiya primer with no problems.
