In case you did not know the shipment of Mr. Color from Japan has been banned.  Oh well, hopefully HobbyWave will still carry them.

I talked to Sean at hobbywave.com last night about this and they have no problem aside from the large amounts of paperwork getting them. (Gunze, Mr. ____, etc...) So no worries. Wink

I am happy to hear that there is some way to get the paint from Japan. Otherwise it's a real shame that the paint is becoming harder to buy.

Sorry I am new to this. I am looking to buy Mr. Color lacquer paints. Are all the Mr. Color paints that Hobbywave sells Lacquer based? Reason I ask is because I am confused, I thought Mr. Color paints are lacquer, but on the Hobbywave website under the Mr. Color paint section, on the top, it says:

"Solvent based acrylic paint, Mr. Color is of the highest quality acrylic paint in the world. Its tone, balance, gloss and color richness are the best. Paints for brushing and sprays are available to use as you desire."

I assume it is acrylic based Mr. Color paint they are selling?

Thank you.

What they're selling is the standard Mr. Color... not sure why it says acrylic. It's the stuff you want though. The acrylic is the Gunze Aqueous which AFAIK they don't sell.

Man, that's great to hear that HW is still going to find a way to keep Mr Hobby products available! I was one of the ones who was pretty worried! Oops

Yea, me too. I've really grown to like how wonderful the Mr.Color lacquers are. They blend so nice, are far more durable then the Tamiya acrylics, etc.
