Looking good man! Going to be sweet. Can't wait to see your other color choices.
Sooo, wet sanding,... better finish ? Less mess ? .. Both or neither ? I never do it, and I'm wondering if maybe I should?
Damn, you are giving me model guilt. I need to get more done.  Happy Smirk
Great wip.

Both actually. It helps keep the dust down, but when wet sanding primer it helps to promote a smoother surface faster by keeping the sandpaper clean.

I usually always wet sand the primer unless it comes out super smooth on the first coat. It also helps you check for high spots and low spots in your surfaces. You'll notice in the first picture there are spots where there is still primer on the side facing the camera. These are areas that are low spots that depending on how low they are will show up in the final paint.

Lightbulb!
That's awesome. Helps me a lot. I'm currently getting back on track from a lot of model a.d.d again, so the build tips are coming in handy  Happy Smirk
Thanks again.

Looking smooth Matt.  Is it to late to go more towards a purpelish tone?  Sarcasm  If so no biggy.

No its not too late, I can add more purple if you want. It's actually a nice violet/blue right now that is getting a bit blown out in my workshop lights.

I'll see if I can snap a better picture that shows the color off more.

Sounds good, I'll shoot some new shots of the foot tonight and we'll see what you think. It'll be super easy to add more purple to the color so no worries. :)

Good to hear the koto parts arrived. :)

Foot!

Here's a shot of the foot in a more natural light. Let me know what you think.

On the first pics the purple shine wasn't obvious. Now it's clear. Nice work.

Yea my desk lamps in the workshop have the natural light bulbs in them that, although work great for showing color to your eyes, really blow it out for the camera for some reason.

Yea no problem. It's not SUPER purple, but is a really nice violet blue that once I do the shading on will really look great.

If you still want it a bit more purply let me know and I will mix in some more for you. :)

Painting has officially started on the Gp03! I spent the past few days working on getting the base coats and shading done on the leg internals. Next up will be masking off all of the internal details etc for the metallic coats.

So far things are progressing along nicely, once I start doing the details I think the internals are really going to pop.

Continued on today with more painting of the leg internal frame. Finished up most of the metallic finish areas, and began some basic assembly of the leg components.
