I was able to finish up this project today, and here are the results. Overall the kit took me about 2 1/2 weeks to complete, and was a blast to do. I am super happy with the results, and can't wait to build one for myself. The Sinanju is literally one of the best MG kits I've yet to build. Metal parts (Beads in head, and thrusters) are from Mechaskunk, and the decals are combination of Samuel Decal waterslides (Neo-Grade version) and the Bandai waterslides.

WIP can be found here: http://fichtenfoo.net/forum/index.php?topic=5150.0

Enjoy!

Gorgeous!

But how can you complete this in 2 and 1/2 weeks? I have been working on mine for almost 2 months! (I must really suck ;)  )

Do you have larger images that I can use for wallpaper?

I especially like the shield!  The Orange works wonderfully and really makes the shield shape stand out.  Bravo!

Great paintjob, the shield looks spectacular!
I'm not sure about the blue on the thrusters though. It's not shocking or anything, just a bit...unexpected maybe?

I never even thought of making the grenade launcher barrel silver.

is that an actual fade on the shield, or just the lighting with your red/orange metallic?

2 1/2 weeks you gotta be kidding mine took six months what are you a MACHINE? :D

What'd you use for the head vulcan barrels? Just curious.

It does look gorgeous, but I echo what EZ said - I kinda wish the blue on the thrusters was a little more understated...

It's a very beautiful model Matt, I like the way you painted the model. I love the way you detailed the end of the propellant tank.

Yeah, everything is awesome except the blue. Otherwise perfect.

2.5 weeks isn't too bad for this. I started mine a little over a week ago and am just about done. Not many seams so it's an easy build.

The fade on the shield is an actual fade from straight clear orange, to the red/orange mix I used for the rest of the kit. I wanted to break the shield up a bit, and try and seperate it from the rest of the mobile suit. There's SO much red that I figured this would be a cool way to bring the shield out from the rest of the kit.

The thrusters are a bit oversaturated with the blue, but in person you can see the gradient from the blue to the bare aluminum alot better. But I agree, I think the blue could have been toned down a bit.

Thanks for the comments guys!

Really stunning finish! I love the orange - red gradation on the shield. Looks fantastic!

I guess its a matter of preference... coz I also kinda like the blue for the thrusters.

My favorit part is the shield the fadding is wonderfull. I like the bleu trusters too it brakes the red gloss and it gives a quite realistic touch.
