Hey just got my Iguana and Bower.  Super awesome kits.  Very smart move on changing casters.  I have a Briegle and although it's great kit it's riddled with pin holes and bubbles, some piece look like swiss cheese LOL.  The Iguana on the other hand is casted superbly and screams to be lit up.  HMMM I wonder if I could get some fiber optics in it?  Sarcasm

I got kit #6 of 30  So cool to get one of the 1st 10.  I feel so special. Sarcasm

The DVD is a great addition showing the whole process to sketches, milling, modeling to finishing.  Makes you really appreciate the work that goes into designing and producing these kits.  It's also fun to watch Z work in fast forward.  Razz

I love the added metal thrusters and the mini Briegles are so cool

Great kit Z,  I still want to know about the base you used.

Hey Z,

Do you have any more Hecatons coming in.  It's the only kit of yours I don't have so I though I would complete my collection.

I'm sorry MvM
I hope so, but I can't plan it now.
I have not one for me either, anyway, I'd have to receive a considerable amount of requests.
Subject is unique not everyone likes.
Anyway, glad to have such a collector! Thank you!

Haha, too kind man!  LOL
I think my models are not for all, someone prefer more smooth surfaces or so, but in the case of Hecaton this is more evident.
It's one of my favourite, if i can judge my work for a second, but its unique style is quite odd. :)
So, do you really like Bamyasi? I didn't expect so....... LOL
Too long that fat guy is hibernate in a box, who knows if it will live a second life!

Anyway, I'm preparing new patterns, I hope to be able to show some pics soon!

Thanks guys!

So, do you really like Bamyasi? I didn't expect so.......

I think the Bam is sooo f*#Kin bad ass!
I know it would not be easy to complete, and I wouldn't want you to rush it so,I would understand if you didn't make it for mass production. That said, I would LOVE to have that kit!
I just think it's soo cool with great presence. Of course, I like ALL your kits so...  Happy Smirk

wait.. new patterns... ??.. what is this ? A new surprise ?

The main problem with Bamyasi is that I've made it with a 10-years-ago-skill, and if I'll handle it again, I just could notice mistakes instead of positive parts:)
I don't like some parts anymore, that's first point and, so I'm scared to be tempted to changing it all.
Second point is that knee joints were too small finding difficult to stand the enormous weight of body parts amount (milliput and iron parts are heavier than a resin casted copy of them)
In addiction Resin leg became Buchner's big arm http://www.kallamity.com/products/view/BU001
Then when I would have completed transformations of old parts, I have to complete it, transforming parts from a "non-castable" to a "castable" status, sawing, transforming, adding parts and details.
Finally, and that's the worst thing, creating all new parts like hands, details, panel lines, shield and gun. And about back funnels packs?? Very complex parts that will increase  tremendously the weight on the back.

The result could be a model of about 300 parts for a 6-7 (maybe more) kg of resin, to sell to few people (with the joy of some of them that will recast or that will sell it to recasters , finally finding it a day on Yahoo japan or on some E20466465 recast sites at 1/3 of the real price).. Sick

I thank so much you Mvm and grail for enthusiasm and support but sincererly I see just problems on this possible product.
The real problem is that the only one who risk about productions is myself, so I don't really feel to risk all the necessary amount of time and money.
Bamyasi has been a fantastic challenge and an amazing gymnasium but sincererly I can't see a realistic way to transform it in a real kit.
I always hope some factory would buy the pattern, so I won't risk so heavy and I finally be able to have some troubles off :) !

On the contrary Buchner, even if it'll be a HUGE kit (approximatively is double-sized compared to 1/35 Briegel) could have more chances, but just after a real and expensive pre-order, since I have no idea of how many people could really buy the fat guy. I think I'll produce just the number of preordered copies, maybe in just a run.
Anyway, Buchner is 80% completed and could be the possible new product of older patterns I made and I never produced.

Yes, new patterns, I need just to finish a part and then I'll show those new ones pictures!

Sorry for long explanation guys, but I felt necessary to explain better Bamyasi problems, I hope that is clear reason I never produced it!

Azzurri haha AT HOME! blah!  LOL (anyway....who cares??  Tongue )

Luca

I'd looove to see the Bamyasi or the Bumcher, even as a one-shot but I can understand you'd rather focus on a new kit that'd be castable LOL

CAN'T WAIT to see the new project! Hurry up! Razz

HAHA.. you are obviously an "artist" and not just a modeler. The artist is always his own worst critic  Smiley

You are waay to hard on yourself. You could cover the Bam in clay and it would still be awesome!
I understand your difficulty. I only joke with you about it. I totally see why it is problems for you and a tough project realistically and logistically, as well as expense/time/and money. It would be really and understandably hard to do and be castable for the masses.:doh

I was going to ask about Buchner and Soldier!? I like them! Funny you mentioned.  Happy Smirk
I think it's a great idea for Kallamity to often produce pre ordered runs. Maybe get a list of pre orders, produce them with a couple extra, and when you have enough people for a new list produce them again. Might be a good way to minimize overhead problems?

Having said all that, I will be happily investing my money in as many Kallamity products as possible as soon as I fix my truck !!  DOH!
Thanks for doing what you do man, still and always inspirational!

Woooooooow..... Big Grin

I FINALLY took off the postal paper and cracked open my Iquana box. The casting looks spectacular Luca, your best cast yet! I was trying to hold off on opening it because I knew I'd wanna dive right in and that is indeed the case. I want to go throw it in resin cleaner right now, but gotta finish up a few things first.

Now this may be the strong resin fumes talking, but I love you guys!  Sick The resin is VERY fresh and has that new resin smell. Pretty strong, but that'll dissipate soon enough now that it's open. I like the dark gray color too as that'll make any clean-up easier to see.

Great work! Cool Cool Cool
