This is pretty epic http://nerdreactor.com/2010/09/02/10-ft-tall-gundam-built-out-of-model-scraps/

I wonder how many models it took?

Oh, and Hi.  Awesome work on here, real inspirational stuff.  One day i might build something worthy of displaying.  I'm busy working on a 40k space marine vs tyranid chess set and a few kits, maybe one will be up to scratch.

FYI... There are links to odokevyo's builds are at the bottom of his gallery page (under the videos).

Hangar

Trying to figure out... did he use surface mount LEDs or Fiber Optic for the small lights on the hangar?

Looking at it, it seems like he used surface mount leds. There is one image in there were he shows some teeny tiny flat leds he is wiring up.

Dude, the hanger is just awesome. Also, the MS getting cut in half effect is so amazing.

OK Most of you have probably seen my PG 00 Raiser in the gallery and that it got 2nd place in a competition a few weeks ago.  Well this is what got 1st place. a full Scratch Built 1/77 Studio Scale Enterprise.  You can see my kit in the foreground in one of the pics and you can get a sense of the size.  It was pretty impressive in size and it only ways about 30lbs.  It's a balsa frame laid with fiberglass.  It has Lights in all the right places and it even lights up in the correct order as the original studio model did.  It is accurate down to every detail.  The atrium was lit up and even had 1/77 scale people inside planting plants and walking along the pathways.

It was pretty col seeing such a huge project in person.  Unfortuanlty when models get this big little things start to stick out.  If you have ever seen some of the Studio Star Wars models in person there are a tone of little mistakes and hangar rash marks that aren't seen on screen.  The same is with this model.  After looking at it for about 30 minutes I started to see things such as cracks, peeling paint and some unsightly brush touch ups but you would never see these on screen or unless you were really looking hard.

Anyway it's an awesome build.  Check it out.

Another awesome Zeon build:

Damn! That is cool!  8)
Really along the lines of where I want to take some original gundam mods.
I don't even get how this get's started though. I can build the 3d version no prob, but where does he go from there? The pics just seem to show some multicolored plastic and resin all magically coming together?
Does the 3d get sent to cast? If it does, it doesn't even look the same as the final model really. Seems like just a rough guide? Is he scratching this? Very talented. Very cool.Very perplexed.  ^_^  ???
Never seen this gallery before either. Thanks Matt!

OK,  Not sure if you guys have heard of Randy Copper, but he has some awesome resin kits that he has sculpted.  You are probably familiar with the Captain Cardboard 1/24 studio scale X-Wing, well I believe that was his original sculpt.  There was one on ebay for $250.00 a few weeks ago and I should have picked it up since they are no longer in production and $250.00 is a deal.

Here is his website/blog.  Check out the Star Destroyer and the Sand Crawler. Very tempting.
