Whoa, I thought it looks like a covenant weapon (Halo) when I first saw the sketch. Keep up the good work.

Okay, that gun is absolutely unbelievable!  You should write up some guides detailing your skills and techniques!

I'm back! There's a lot of Sinanjus getting built now eh? LOL

These past couple of months have been quite hectic as I am doing my thesis (graduating year this year), A 1/16 full interior tank kit commission, a group build with some friends, and finally this. Razz I need a vacation......

Here is where it stands now:

The form is pretty much final. All that is left is to clean up the putty work and add some panel lines and other small details.

I've also started scribing additional panel lines to the MS itself:

That's it for now. I'll try to finish up all the panel line work this weekend.

Looking sharp.  I love the added panel lines to the Sinanju.  It will surely make different from everyone else.  I love weapon also.  Any chance of getting it casted? Wink

Great panel lining, and on pretty challenging surfaces, I'd love to hear more about your technique for that.  My attempts at panel lining always trend towards disaster.

That's actually one of the reasons why I added the panel lines. Sinanju builds suddenly popped up everywhere LOL I had to make mine a bit different.

Unfortunately though, the weapon is already glued in one piece, so it can no longer be casted. That and the fact that I don't know how to recast Oops

I used masking tape as my guide. Dymotape should work better.

Panel lining done!. Next step is just clean up of putty, glue marks , seams, mold lines, etc. that I may have missed. I need to buy new stocks of styrene now to start on the base

I adjusted the color settings on the cam to make the panel lines more visible Wink.

Panel line look great.  You have a lot of patience.  Good job.  Do you plan on doing  wash over them or some sort of pre-shading?

I'll be doing a wash. I don't think a pre/post shade will look good on the look I'm going after.

Love the rail-gun and the paneling, can't wait to see it with some primer on!
What kind of base are you thinking of?
Not sure if you mentioned what kind of finish you were planning?

I want to do a squeaky clean finish like the ones you see in Hobby Japan or Dengeki. I just don't think that weathering will be appropriate since these are space equipment.......and space equipment are clean Razz You don't want a leaking gasket in a vacuum right? LOL Plus the fact that this is a one-of-a-kind mech piloted by the leader of Neo Zeon so it's really gonna be clean.

As for the base, I was thinking that it's gonna be an exterior section of a space colony/station.

I agree about leaky fluids and rust and such, but a space combat suit will get quickly scoured by minor debris impacts which will be hell on the paintjob. It's a different sort of weathering than you'd do for a ground based mobile suit. Of course one piloted by the leader of neo zeon is going to be meticulously maintained, and probably be touched up and shined whenever possible. Big Grin This is why I didn't do anything past pre-shading on mine.

I forgot about the space debris Tongue but for the most part yeah, space units should be generally cleaner especially flagship units like the sinanju.

I got going on the diorama base. I'll be keeping this one a bit secret so I'll only be showing bits Razz. I'll be more open on the sinanju's progress though LOL.

That is probably the coolest scratch-built dio I've ever seen.  Except the one in my head to replace the stupid cardboard one that comes with the first two Keroro Gunso DX sets...  Big Grin

And here are the pipes that I will install after painting everything. I decided to leave them off since it's gonna be a b***h to paint the whole thing assembled.
