It's been a while since I posted something over here, hopefully you haven't blocked my account or something!

For a "post-apocalyptic road rally" on another forum I'm building this ....ah..... thing.
I'll post a few pictures, from round-about the start up to where it is now. Yes, it is still in progress, plans are to build a small diorama around it, with at least one figure.
Some of the parts are from a 1:24 Yamaha, Tamiya's Alfa Romeo 155 or something, Italeries 1:35 piranha, Verlinden provided the machinegun with their ancient Apache-detail set. The wheels and tires come from Tamiya's VW Beetle, the steering handles are from Revell's AT-RT, and so on...
(And still I cannot see the bottom of the spare parts box(es).)
I know the camber would make this thing nearly impossible to steer around, but doesn't it look cool though Wink?

Hope you'll enjoy, and thanks for watching.
Cheers!

Great job, it just screams post-apocalyptic!
Is there going to be a pilot on it?

Thanks for the comments, people!
The rear of the bike will remain as-is, with the small addition of an antenna.
The exhaust is located on (or rather "in") the right side of the swingarm (which is the original Yahaha swingarm, chopped, widened and twisted):

The fact that it still in part looks like a Yamaha is to do with the design brief: this rally takes place in the year 2014, with the end of a short but fierce ww3 somewhere in 2009 I believe, so things cannot look too flashy and scifi-like. And in my world, the story goes that the corporation that designs and builds the bike you see here (Tokyo-based "Brandzai Bikes"™© etc) takes regular bikeparts (the "shiny" bits) and adds military parts to make sturdy, fast and well-armed transportationdevices. In my opinion, the rear end doesn't look civilian enough yet, and some striping might be added later!

This looks like a lot of fun. Great project and set up and the build sure looks the part. Are those six cylinders going brap brap brap right into the drivers face?

Thanks! And, yes, they are. I figured that if you survive a nuclear holocaust and then willingly participate in a road rally shortly after that, you are not the sort of person that worries about a bit of noise from a 6-cylinder with open barrels.
Having decided that I thought about putting some mesh on top of those funnels to keep them from sucking up birds and small rodents. But there won't be many of those around anymore anyway Sarcasm so I kept them open.

That's pretty cool and I agree that the camber should be kept, it's too sweet-looking to let realism get in the way.

With missiles in the engine's place and the engine right below the driver, where's the fuel go?  Huh?

Yeah, all the rodents and birds are mutants and a big as a Mack truck.  LOL That's why they need the machine gun.

There's a small green high-pressure fuelltank between the engine and the driver's ...eh... family jewels. I thought that would be just the right place ;)You can see it if you look closely, in the third-from-last picture. In the diorama it will be connected to some sort of fuellpump/gasstation/thingamajik. The tank itself will become more detailed shortly.

Driver-dude in progress. It is (was) a 1:24 F1 driver by MCM-creation.

It totally does!!  LOL

It looks really good, the metal tubing is very nice (where did you get that?).  I think it can benefit with some shoulder pad or some sort of body armour to make it even more post-apocalyptic.

The tubing is a part of a piece of chain I bought at HLJ quite some time ago. Thought it would be of use someday, and there it is!
Shoulderpad(s)! Great idea, I knew he needed something more. (Let's just hope he won't turn out too 80's though...) And maybe I'll rework the boots while I'm at it. They still look a bit too "F1-nancypancy-Ooh-don't-step-on-my-nice-new-suede-racing-shoes" to me at the moment.
Thanks for the comment, and the idea!

Maybe some wicked 70's spiked KISS boots and cod piece.LOL

Not sure how I missed this build but it is sweet. I really dig the total look of the vehicle and a great pose for the driver. This should definately be included in the Sci-fi Grand Prix group build here.

Above is the HSHR-VSC (High Speed, High Radiation -Very Small Caliber).
It's nicknamed the "Be Nice Twice".
Because if you don't die straight away from the shot itself you'll die from the radiation later anyway.

And that's simply the Lead Squirter. Need I say more?

More (& sharper) pics will follow: my camera ran out of juice.

Working on tha pants, trying to incorporate high- and lowlights. Not very visible in this pic, though, I'm afraid. Still, there's five colours on there. Make that one and four variations.
Next up: trying to make black paint look like black leather.

That shoulder armor looks a little "Dead Space"-inspired. Looking great, btw. I can't wait to see the dio.

*googling Dead Space*....A-ha... Nope, never seen that before. Hm, it looks kinda the same.
But they're probably not. Mine are made from 1:48 Hellfire-missile fins... Smiley
