i'm a big gamer and came across this article over @ kotaku.com.  They found this gyan being put up for sale in japan via yahoo auctions....not really a big fan of gyan, but i think this modeller put in some time bedazzlin' this kit up.....i'd give an A for effort and originality...what do you guys think?

Eh.  The jewels and decorations are one thing, but they aren't even applied well... just gobbed on in glue.  Not to mention that detail image of the right leg shows a hair stuck in it.

I don't think that's glue - I think they come pre-applied to some sort of clear self-adhesive sheet, and you just pick the one you want, peel it off, and in this case, apply it to the Gyan...

It's not the greatest paintjob, but it is a striking model. Not my cup of tea, but I'm sure a lot of women would like it (a co-worker I showed it to said she wanted one) and I see it as kind of a feminine counterpart to something like the Musha Gundam coming out in MG. If you're gonna make a elaborately decorative Macho Musha, why not a Girly Gyan?

I agree with fulcy, I don't think it's glue, I think those stones are basically decals, so one "decal" is several stones connected by that clear stuff you see.

So fulcy, when you gonna start carryin' those??  Razz LOL

I feel so bad for that Gyan. Sad Someone should buy that model and give it the paint job it deserves.

Those gem things are all over the place out here at the moment...  my GF was looking through a magazine and saw an advert for a company who'll decorate your phone, PSP, or whatever... for 20,000 Yen or so. >_>;  You can get packs of them in 100yen stores...

I've been known to use those things for mono-eyes though, after trimming off some of the excess glue.
