Hey guys, remember me?  I'm still alive..just haven't been doing much modeling the past few months.  I got my photography bug back and it's been taking up a lot of my time.. anyways..

I started this chick back in September, around the time of the IPMS Nats.  Just got her finished last night.  She's about 95% hand painted with Vallejo acrylics.  Skin tones and hair are the only airbrushed parts.  My pics are kinda big, and i'm not sure if the pic size rule is still in effect, so here's the first, with a link below for a directory where the rest are.  Enjoy!

It'd definitely good to see you back and posting models, though those other hobbies are just as important to keep us all mildly insane.

Great looking figure. Love the outfit and the colors. I like the simple display base, too.

Looks great B! The only problem I have is that the face looks a little "dry" or flat. It needs a little satin or semi-gloss, especially on the eyes. Other than that the painting looks really good. Nice fig!

Really nice work, especially since it's all hand-painted. I feel sorry for her... her face is kind of sad and from her outfit it looks like she's participating in some really ugly war (hence the gas mask) that uses that primitive/futuristic steampunk technology (or steampop or steamboogie or whatever, I'm like 90% sure I'm right, but only 90% sure). She's got that listless "Rei" feel about her.

Maybe she's a spunky inventor and her flight suit is just a home-made and she's exploring high atmosphere flight but it's too cloudy to fly today so she's stuck on the ground... Yeah, that's it  .

Obviously, it's a thought-provoking piece. Is there any "real" backstory to this character?

I searched, but couldn't find anything.  I think she was created just for the kit.  I could be wrong of course, if anyone else has info, that'd be great to know.

I know these figures exist but I can't find anything about.

Some years ago, a friend told me that Kobayashi was producing figures...
now I know he isn't the well known mechadesigner.
