It was a Lunapawn..
«

Another model from my "it was.." series
I have to say I buy the Wave Lunapawn but I never know what to do with it: I don't like early AFS design very much.
Surfing the web I found
>this<
work from Mr.Alaya..
I opened my Lunapawn box
I spent all my X-mas holidays sticking my fingers with Apoxie Sculpt,
hope you like it:
It was a Lunapawn..
It was a Lunapawn..
It was a Lunapawn..
It was a Lunapawn..
It was a Lunapawn..
It was a Lunapawn..
It still doesn't have a name, but I was thinking about something like "the last standing soldier of a forgotten army"
I will paint it in a light gray camo with red ID band.. really, really weathered
Bye ^^

Heh... it WAS a Lunapawn... but now it's something good! I don't like the Lunapawn either and this looks far better. Fantastic design!

Nice design and find dude!
Now you open up my mind on the design possibilities on the Lunapawn as well!

I, too, don't care too much about the LP design (although the Polar Bear seems the best of the lot to me). Your work on this has turned it into something much much better. I'm having a hard time deciding whether the more straight-line approach of the site you referred to, or your more curvy approach looks better. Well, they are both excellent.
In terms of name, I suggest something with Slavic bend to it...this chunky design has some Soviet flair!

Great use of a not-so-great design
The details on the arm are really cool.

This is really really cool ..
Damn i love the colors you used perfect contrast IMHO. The sculpting job you did is really clean, esp in the second photo it clearly shows that.
Well , Can't wait for the next updates
And as for the names .. I'd suggest something like ,
CCP-Unit:1
I don't know really ;P .
I am off to Petra now , See all around .

Paint the joints, glue everything together, firmly put your figure on a manageable base.
First general wash with Vandyke Brown (brownish shadow)
Second local wash with Cassel Earth (black color around details)
I'm using a n°4 fine tip Mig's "502 Abtailung" modelling brush
Try not to exaggerate: you can repeat a light wash but not remove an overdone oil wash.
Leave dry the medium (you can use an hair dryer)
When the color becomes mat remove the excesses from ample surfaces with a clean brush.

Let dry overnight..

Looks great FB. The camo color and red stripe coupled with the tan covers look awesome. Looking forward to the base!

Love it, good choice of color on the joint covers. Great weathering too!

Thank you for the feedback guys!
Next step: drybrush with Burnt Umber oil to accentuate shadows and define first stains

It was a Lunapawn..
It was a Lunapawn..
It was a Lunapawn..
Now let's do the difference:
Rusted scratches using oils and Winsor&Newton White Spirit
Burnt Umber for brownish scratches, Burnt Sienna for reddish, light scratches
White Spirit dries very fast and keep the oil mat, you can paint rust stains with a clean brush
More White Spirit-->more diffuse and transparent rust spot
But try to avoid to rust everything! I use Humbroll Matt 66 Tank Grey for dark grey scratches
Bye ^^
