Yeah it's his paw, it looks so ugly as his mouth. Now that's all I can see

He, he - I hate when that happens!  Still, it has the elements of a strong logo

Rather than create a logo based on an animal that is the rabbit's predator, maybe we can take a different approach.  Does anyone know why the TTT used the bunny/rabbit for their logo?

Quote
Q: Where do the names of the TR Series come from?
Because team leader Wes Murphy is fond of rabbits, all the TR Series machines assigned to the Titans Test Team are given nicknames derived from Watership Down, a novel by Richard Adams which recounts the adventures of a group of rabbits. Hazel, Bigwig, Dandelion, and Fiver are the names of heroic rabbits, Kehaar is a friendly bird who helps them, and Woundwort is a rabbit general who becomes their adversary. Some variants of the TR Series, such as the Gundam TR-1 Hazel-Rah, the Hazel Owsla, and the Gaplant TR-5 Hrairoo, also have nicknames derived from the story. The support vehicle which combines with the Hazel to form the Hazel-Rah is named Hrdudu, which means “machine” in Watership Down’s rabbit language.

Are there animals we can use from that?

Quote
Various elil (predators) who are the enemies of all rabbits. Elil are termed '"the Thousand" or "U embleer hrair", the stinking (as in a fox) thousand.

Or another book that can give us something similar?  Animal Farm?
Since the Titans are the oppressors and are so homogenous, maybe a diverse group of animal (logos) would work.

fulcy, I thought for sure you'd go for a skunk! ;)

(edit: looks like I keep answering my own questions.)

Here's another. Based on the super-simplified bunnies on top of the flying saucer looking dealies on the decals Fulcy linked. Vanilla and Flying Armor.

Phil: I mentioned other childrens books in the first post I think so I think it's a good idea. Although narrowing it down to one animal might make it easier/more focused. (design around a single element/theme... even though I definitely want to do a turtle-dias ) You also mentioned foxes in Watership Down which is funny since even though it's the predator it might still fit.

If anyone needs the saturn-looking AEUG symbol in vector, here's an .ai I did of it. http://www.fichtenfoo.com/aeugsymbol.ai

You know what else we'll need... like the "Aswan", we'll need AEUG ship name markings too like the Argama, Irish, Radish, etc...

A cleaned-up version of Ezechiels logo. Thoughts?

Hrm I don't think the ships in the canon AEUG lineup should appear at all.  'cause they are in a different zone of combat and won't receive the same AoZ treatment.

Nice fox btw, I like this one better.

Hmmm... then we should make up a new ship or 2 then! One has to have the word "Fuchs" in the title. Maybe the other can be a turtle name or from another clindrens book. Best of both worlds? Maybe get some of the Ex ships and do them up as well in AEUG colors with the new names.

I guess I am just getting in over my head really.  I was thinking beyond the logo(s)... names, etc.
Since I am not aware of any names for the foxes (or other non-rabbit antagonists) in Watership Down, I thought another source for names and animals might be a place to look.

Since the AEUG is an uprising, maybe something more nocturnal and covert?  Though foxes are sly.  I'd say it should be something meeker than whatever the Titans have but the rabbit being its counterpart makes that difficult.  I just think of my web browser every time I see a fox icon. *shrug*

Awesome!  That's what I'm talking about.

I am still looking at children's books for material.  Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH (The Secret of NIMH)?  Rabbit Hill?  Just slap me and tell me to stop looking.

All of the logos look nice, If you are looking for a children's book for inspiration, how about Peter Rabbit...

Yes, it is a story about rabbits, but it is another source of ideas.

I do have a observation about the Titan logos, even though the Titan units had rabbit logos, the TTT had a custom rabbit logo for each of the prototypes. What i am getting at is this, you could settle on a set of animals, and each time you make a Custom AEUG MS you can make a custom logo for the Mobile Suit.
Order custom printed t-shirts at tilluminati.

Really like the ballute Turtle
I get inspired by your first work. I wanted to put etxt on the draw but my skills... I wanted to put a rounded AEUG Specialized System Squadron.

I knew I was missing an obvious classic.  Though it won't help me with names.

Here's something I based on nico's sketch then took it in a more abstract direction.

Loving the A4 logo and as for the turtle aspect what about GAMERA! Could maybe be the name of one of the ships. Although it doesn't fit the book train of thought...

Sorry no time to sketch out the logo the baby is callin'
