Always does!
If you want to sculpt something like a figure, SS is the way to go IMO. With Aves or MS, not only would this be an expensive beast to produce (I only used perhaps $10 worth of clay here, where epoxy putty is far more expensive) but if you mess up you can resculpt/reblend with ease as long as you haven't baked it yet. With MS I could only work little by little but with SS you can work on the whole "big picture" and change when and where you need to.

Thx again for presisions. Actually I started to scratch something I asked ZLuca some advises but all experiences are welcome. Watching pictures is a thing trying to build something in 3d from nothing is another story.

Cool! So they're casting this Eva kit you mean? So that means if we buy it, we don't have to deal with the rubber ?!

Typical mech anime: 13 year old boy who has never driven a car gets into the cockpit of a high tech, multi-billion dollar mobile suit and owns a ****ton of soldiers. Every single other character in the anime says " OMG WE"RE GETTING OWNED BY A KID!?!?!?!"

Well... it's the sculpture that I did. I was only going to do one, but there was some interest so I decided to have a very small run of these made on my own. You wouldn't have to deal with rubber, but you'd have to modify your PG Eva's armor to fit over this. I haven't even attempted it yet, so am not sure how I'll do it. Most of us here should be able to though so it shouldn't be too bad. It would also make the kit fixed-pose since it's a solid body underneath. I personally need to make 5 of these, three being for me, 2 for a client. My three: armored, as-is naked, and bloody bandaged.

I'm an Evangelion fanatic more than any other mecha anime so I'm way glad to see this project come back to life
. Looking forward to see how those resin castings will go.

How are you attempting to do the bandages? I remember from the series having NERV logos all over the Eva, but the could have been caution markings...

I just wanna say...this Eva kicks all kinds of ass, man! Can't wait to see this done up. Wouldn't mind getting one from you as well. I have a feeling it's out of my price range for now! LOL! It'd be totally worth every penny though!

Look what came today! 3 test casts of my Naked PG Eva figure. Woohoo! I still haven't come up with a price for these yet, but after the ones I need for commissions and the three others reserved else I'll only have 12 more available. They're solid and 11 inches high. Still creepy.
