Hello! Im back! Its been a while and no updates on my toy collections. Been busy wit my schoolin and and finally finished one of the hardest subject in nursing, Pharmacology. Now im a little bit relaxed coz I passed the subject and finally have time to build my models again.

So enough talk... Im still in progress with my Zeta Black, waiting for some paints and optional parts from my local shop. And I have another Custom Gundam on my sleeves... I was inspired by the C3 Wing Gundam Zero, so I bought an old Wing Zero kit yesterday and kitbashed it with my Wing zero custom (this was the base model of my Deathscythe Hell custom, i just used it and see how it will look like) Here are some pics I did...

C3 1/144 fixed model of Wing Zero

And my work...

I just used some of my Gundam marker paints to see how's the look. I also modified the face of the WZC by sanding the face plate and colored the jaw part with red...

I need to use some putty on the chest to eliminate the other details not necessary and to add some more details on the legs using styrenes and putty. The wings will be extended using putty and styrenes, I really like long, huge wings. :)

http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b112/vic01/Wing%20Zero/DSC07337.jpg

The problem right now is how I will imitate the mechanism of the transforming feet of the original WZ when transformed to neo bird mode. I don't want to use the old kit's legs and feet since it has no inner frame and looks so fat. Im cutting parts for the legs to make it look more like the orig WZ.

This will be an enemy for Sir Michael's amazing Tallgeese 1! Anyways it should be the Wing Gundam, not the Zero type.

Thanks for looking! ;)

I have been on this massive Wing kick lately (though my next kit will be the GM kai, I am trying to get around to painting a SD WZC for my GF, and I don't think I could do another wing kit for a bit). It is nice to see people taking interest in the designs. I have wanted to see some of the non EW kits redone.

Onto your work. I think it looks pretty cool as is. At first I thought the large shoulder pads looked nice, but then, I kinda felt like they needed to be smaller, which I am sure you are working on. In my opinion, I think you should keep it "loosely" WZ, so it looks more like a re-design. I think if you just made the pads smaller, made the wings larger, and moded the knees and ankle armor to look more Zero like, you would have major win on your hands.

Looking forward to it.

And where is that Deathscythe..... Favorite Wing MS.

Ahh, nice to see a rework of this kit as I like the original WZ as well. Looking forward to what you do.

Hello guys! Thanks for the inputs!  ^_^

This Gundam Wing Zero and the Deathscythe Hell TV versions are the one hooked me up to Gundams, they are the reasons why im into Gundams now. It's been one of the best designed Gundams that was left behind, even the Altron Gundam. Wish they will make MG kits of this G Wing MS.

I've been thinking if I will just go with looks of the MS without sacrificing the original transformation. Im not that good doing some heavy, joint-related modifications, and also i don't have enough parts and tools to make that so I guess I have to leave the leg transformation and make a variation of it. I'll post some pics later of my updates.

OT: As for the deathscythe hell custom in pending...

Will do this later on, been busy with one after another kits, hehe...

Thank you!

WOW!!!

Seems like simple mods, but what an effect!!!

Is the Wing Zero Custom kit an MG??? I'm guessing yes, because I doubt the HG would bend up like that at the shoulders. Which kit's hip internals did you use?

The only barrier I see is the wings. Those compound curves are gonna be hard to lengthen. Makes me wonder how big the 1/60 scale HG Zero wings are, and if they would work?

I add my vote for non-transformation and best looks.

I also add my vote to Bandai for more MG Wing kits!!!

I have the 1/60 Wing Zero and the wings are 18cm long. No, they will not work. The thing is just as bulky as and if you open it up, it's could engulf the whole 1/100 scale.

I was totally inspired by that kit as well. I made some plans on how to create a PG conversion, for when I have time...Anyway, it's a pretty good kitbash so far. Lets see some more of it.

Thank you Funaka! :D

Yes, I used the MG WZC as the base. I still retained the hip/groin internal of the MG and just sticked the skirt on it, looks pretty good. Hehe, sorry, I will still add the idea of transforming. Thanks!

@wong0620: That would be a nice kit, a PG Wing Zero conversion. Goodluck if ever! ;)

For my updates of Wing Zero...

I cut the peg part of the shoulder joint of the MG WZC and glued it with the upper part of the arm of HG Wing Zero. After gluing, I used my All Fix epoxy putty to make it strong and will sand it after it cured.

Took off the pointy wing of the head and sanded both sides of the head.

I cut the side part of the head of the HG Wing Zero and cleaned the inner part...

The new wing-part was glued on the head for testing how it looks... So far, great! I will make it longer too w/ putty.

http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b112/vic01/Wing%20Zero/DSC07487.jpg

My variation of Neo Bird mode... I will not going to change the feet part, I will just add BOOSTERS on it to match the orig Neo Bird.

That's all for now! Next, the wings modification... Happy building everyone!

Wow. Nice work so far. The Head looks especially well done. Are the forearms going to stay that wide or are you going to thin them out?

Thanks DrDazzle! I dunno yet since im still adding some details on the legs later on. If the legs are a bit buff, I guess the forearms should be buff too. The upper arms are fine already. So we'll see...

Updates!!!!

http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b112/vic01/Wing%20Zero/DSC07504.jpg
I have some Wave ball-joint parts and tried to use PC of the HG WZ.

http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b112/vic01/Wing%20Zero/DSC07505.jpg
Drilled the PC and inserted the BJ. Then I cut the excess part of the BJ.

Glued the PC and BJ in place. Why I did this? It is because the HG wing part has a limited range of motion. I also put some glue on the BJ to make it more stiffer.

Elongation of the wings... I used my spare MG Freedom wing parts. Will add some details later on...

And here's how it looks like...

http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b112/vic01/Wing%20Zero/DSC07508.jpg
Close, and Open wings...

http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b112/vic01/Wing%20Zero/DSC07509.jpg
I also added Medium Size Al Thrusters...

http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b112/vic01/Wing%20Zero/DSC07514.jpg

I like this style...

I'll kill you...

Next are the knees and legs...

Man, that's looking awesome.  I had exactly the same idea when I saw that C3 model, weirdly, since I have a spare Wing Ka and 1/100 Wing Zero... Might try it, now. :)

Hehe thanks guys!!!

I didn't worked on this for 2 weeks and time to continue the Zero system...

What I did on the shoulders...

I was thinking how to insert the whole beam saber on the shoulder and i've done a lot of cutting and drilling inside that didn't work. I saw this pic of the 1/60 WZ and saw how the beam saber is placed on the shoulder. I glued a beam saber holder inside and drilled and cut the shoulder more... So I guess it's time for Evolve version again...

My first mods on the legs... I used the spared parts of my coreworks strike freedom conversion. (The head of this conversion is the head I used on my Super strike freedom evo).

Head mods...

Elongation of the side-winglike of the head and the chin using styrene, all fix epoxy putty and tamiya putty.

Chest part...

http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b112/vic01/Wing%20Zero/DSC07598.jpg
Lucky I finally found the long lost chest visor. i thought I will use the sticker of the HG.

I finished so far...

More mods for the legs, and that's next....

That's all for now. Thanks for viewing!!! ;)

wow! the mod and wings looks fantastic. but personally i feel that the head mod is a little too heavy. the wings at his ears are a little to big imo.

Good to see you are back on track with this project.

Looking nice, the forearms look much better without the pieces on the insides. The only problems I have so far are the vents or whatever that you added to the shoulders. They seem very out of place. Also, the feet don't need to be lengthened IMO, but maybe they will flow better with the whole design after they are smoothed out and finished.

Keep it up!

Yay a Wing Zero conversion! Looks great so far, love the big shoulders. However I'm gonna have to agree with DrDazzle about the vents you added to it. Something looks odd about it.

Thanks for the inputs!

BTW, I go with the orig colors. I like the original scheme, so might stick wit it.

Updates: 50% complete...

Added some spare parts on the chest with putty...

After priming, man, im out of primer!

Lots of details to work on... I need to clean up the chest, add more details on the forearms, legs, feet, and the wings. I guess the wings will be my nightmare just to make it look good... Gotta finish this next week!

Thanks for viewing! :D
