I went and bought some Tamiya masking tape just now. I must say, it makes a world of difference. And I don't think it's just a placebo effect - I would say the Tamiya tape masks about three times as well as normal (commercial) masking tape. And then some, even. Being thinner and less adhesive really helps in cases like this.

I've noticed the same thing with a lot of Tamiya modelling products.  Their ***35 nippers are the best I have ever bought, and I think they were well worth the $30 some odd I paid for them.  I'd tried everything from $7 Radio Shack wire cutters to Xuron and other LHS brand ones, and they all definitely suck compared to Tamiyas.  I like them so much I'm halfway willing to get the other two kinds they have out just to see what they're like.

Link fixed. It was jacked due to transferring my site to wordpress a few months back. Also note that the guide is out of date as far as my personal techniques go and needs an update.

Okay well my birth day is coming up in the next month. So I was thinking on what I should get for it. Well instead of a video game I was like "Hey, Why not just learn and get some cool models." So I'm out looking on fourms and other websites and everything is lets just say scrambled. I was wondering if someone could be a me a list of things I would need to get started like what I would use to cut the parts off almost perfectly. What to use to paint with. You know just to get me on my way and to learn how to do it I will just look up some guides.

Wow my bad..... I already failed and posted this in the wrong place..... Can a admin move this to where it belongs thanks.
