Cardboard building
« on: July 21, 2007, 02:53:32 PM »
I have been working on making a dio for 2 of my (1/72) valkaries. So far I got a hangar basicly shaped out of cardboard (trying to save on costs here) and was wondering if anyone else has used cardboard to build. Any advice... kinda nervous about surfacing/priming it as I am not 100% sure of the substances reaction...

I'm a bit further than shown in pics...

I do intend detailing it with pla-plate and misc stuff but am hoping that I can get it to "Blend in right."

The hangar looks good, but any time I've used cardboard or paper for something structural it's warped due to moisture within a few months to a year. Check out a dollar store for cheap "for sale" signs. They're usually plastic and a good alternative.
Rust is beautiful.
