The results are all tallied and now we're happy to announce the results of the contest! The contest was judged by 9 judges in total (FichtenFoo, Fulcy, ZeroBXU, Ezechiel, Major Blah, U-Recca, ZLuca, Nico, and Rainbowten) who each filled out a judging sheet. When all the sheets were returned I tallied up the results.

Judges awarded each entrant a score of 0-10 for 5 categories for a total of 50 points awarded by each judge (possible 450 pts total), voted for the two special awards, and voted what category they thought each entry best fit into.

Below you'll see the results of the 3 main categories, the prizes won, and even the totaled up score sheet to see where modelers ranked.

Congratulations to all of the winners! I got replies from every judge as to how difficult this was to judge since all the entries were fantastic. Even those that didn't win did great jobs. Thanks for making this our best contest yet! We're already planning the next one so stay tuned.

Yeah it was a great contest, tough too.  I'd like to throw in with everyone in thanking the judges.  So FF, do we get a hint what the next contest is?  (not that I want to have another deadline anytime soon ).

No hints yet... unless I think of a good one. We'll start it soon though AND we'll have an extended deadline which will allow for modifications. This one might have some new MechaSkunk releases too. That's the main reason we're waiting... wanna make sure Fulcy is somewhat ready or even decided on his possible (not definite) releases before announcing.

We'll also possibly be trying a different method of judging too which will make things more fun and fair.

congratulations everyone!!!!! everyone made an awe-inspiring kampfer, especially the heavy modders! there was not a single kampfer that wasn't great!!  hopefully i'll be in the next gunpla group build!! congrats and keep modeling!

P.S. maybe someone could start a thread about sales on amazon.com/ other sites, because isn't that kinda the reason the komp happened? i do check often, but i seem to have missed these sales

Congrats to all the winners!  Esp TrooperCooper as I had the fun of lending you all my painting stuff so it's nice to see it bear fruit. :P

Well, Amazon used to sell ToysRUs Gundam models, but basically they had a huge sale about 3 years ago?  IIRC, they don't sell Gunpla anymore.  And the Kamphers a lot of people have left over are from that (myself included!).

Hey, look on the bright side - you got your entry together (and not too shabby, BTW - the dinguses on the back remind me of the Vigna Ghina from F91) and got it in.  That's challenge enough for some modelers.

Good work, everybody...
