So do you plan to keep it open?
z
Absolutly, You did a very nice and detailed cockpit it would be a shame to let it closed. Plus it's a new painting experience for me.

Thx for references

hey hey, I'am very happy to be back on this project. I have the speedness of a snail but I want to do it well.
I am curently puting the decals.
I put piono Wire springs from Mecha Skunk on the shoulders ana legs. I still have to put some one forarms.

I have a question concerning the jonction between the legs and the pelvis. Did you only pined it once or twice. I am afraid of the weigth, I am no so confident with only one pine.

Pin it twice to prevent twisting/pivoting front to back when all the weight is added to the top.

A little update I puted decals and started to do the washes with brown and black.
Then I will flat coat (hope tomorrow) and start to dust it. I was looking for inspiration for a weapon and I found this.http://aswars.tripod.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/theomodel011.jpg

Finally it stands on its own legs. It wasn't easy to do. I pinned twice between the pelvis and the link. But the angle wasn't enough and the kit felt back due to the weight. But now it seems good. It's really heavy. Evil
I still have work to do but now I more motivated than ever.

Here some pics with flash, yes its 11 pm here

That gun pic is awesome. The internals painting is looking very nice. Will the rest of it be rusted like the ass? At the moment, just that being rusty looks out of place.

I like it very much Nico! It's first time I see a green almost completed Briegel, and I have to say that color is perfect!
I like where you've put small frogs, good personal choice!
Good idea have created that sort of "white mask" effect, I LOVE IT!!!!! Smiley
As Michael said, the rusty tail part is quite strange now, you should rust all the mechanics or paint in that dark silver also back tail engine part.
Do you plan to make some washes-filters-dust on it?
It'll be awesome Nico! I can't wait to see it finished!
Thanks for sharing pics!

Well guys you are right I now realize that this rusty finish doesn't match. I realised it yesterday when I downloaded the pics on my PC and you confirm my first impression. Actually the light increases this feeling. It will be easy to fix eventhough everything is glued.
I did this white mask because I didn't want to have a big green thing. This kit is so big, it would have been a shame to paint it with only one color and not effects.
Sure I will do washes and dusting. I read Michael jeep tutarial on FFF blog and I also own Mig book. I still have some chips to paint and I hope I can start pre dusting and dusting next week end.
I gave the seat to Bengrimm he wanted to paint it, I think it's a good idea, as I am a poor brush painter but I'll paint the fig.
Thank you for comments.

Here I am. I worked on dusting with a mix of oil paint and natural pigments thin with turpentine. I applyed the wash on the whole kit unfortunatly during this session I removed one of the two frogs decal Sad too bad. I sealed before but...
I think I will have to work on the wash before air brushing  pre dusting.

Here are some better pics with claws. It's almost done. It worked on claws and  grenades launcher today. Unfortunatly 3 tubes were broken (was my fault). I fixed that.
I think I miss 2 of the 4 verniers. I had 4 elbows armor parts but only two verniers. I should look for the 2 others in my basment working banch. But I am not sure if it was in the package. I don't care...

Do you mean you have only 2 thrusters? I can send you the parts you're looking for with Garbaldy model if you need them.

Looks better and better Nico!! The problem in my opinion only is that dusty deposits must be on details, not under them. That could be good for rust, but that yellow remind me a sort of liquid sand dry or the effect of a sand rain. In addiction, above all on shoulders washes are very heavy, try to take off some yellow stains. I think it's better to make many light passages than few and heavy. You can also change chromatysm each time to make a very various surface, but remember to make light passages, above all if you're not sure.
Than you can add some selective rust, here and there leaking or stains, maybe near color chips.

Thanks for comment. I noticed what you say and palned to fix it. I will also try to use different kit of colors.
Concerning the verniers thank you, if you still have a frog for the left side of the atch it would be great. If not I'll ask somene else.
