I figured that since the upcoming Gunpla thread is going well, we should also have a non-gundam release thread for news on Military, Auto, Figure, Misc Mecha and Anime, and etc... kits. So if you've got any news post it here.

Same rules as the gunpla thread apply here. This is not for speculation or a wishlist, but for real news, plausible rumors, and new kit announcements. Cool

Ok, I might be the first one to post on this thread. Just to post a link to a very interesting reasource for armor models news.
http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/newkitnews/newf.htm

some of you might know it since they have wonderful kit reviews. I'm particularly interested in the Hobby Boss announced releases:

http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/newkitnews/hobbyboss.htm

The Delta force FAV looks like something can go together with an Hard Graph kit
Also an early report from Nuremberg 07

Not really Gun-pla, but it is Sci-fi and upcoming:

I always liked the McQuarrie concept sketches for the original Star Wars movie so it is nice to see some stuff that is based off of that.

Has anyone else seen this? Does anyone have any more information other than price and a June release? And how the hell did Bandai get to make Scopedogs? Anyway, here's the link: Hobby Shop Midori

This is not gundam, in fact, it's so much cooler than gundam...It's SRX!!

I recall talking to U-Recca about the possibilty of a SRX full transformation kit based on the Kotobukiya injection-plastic kits, looks like that's not going to happen for awhile (they still have R-3 to do, plus all those tricky transformation parts they'll have to make it combine).  But I found this SRX Variable Box today browsing the web.  It was a moment of shock and awe  to found out that someone (a company) has put the resources to sculpt all R-1, R-2, R-3, and SRX.  That said, they do intent on making the investment worthwhile by the hefty price tag 58,000yen!!!  DOH!

I've dug up a few sites with good reviews and pictures and posted them below.  What I like is that the sculpts are really well done, the proportions are not sacrificed for the transformation and combination.  However, the flip side of that is that a lot of extra parts are required to be swapped for the transformation/combination.

Overview
SRX
R-1
R-2
R-3
Another review
Yet another review - Part 1
Yet another review - Part 2

Cool eh?  The scale is the same as the Kotobuykia ones, so maybe someone can mod the IP kits into an SRX.  Sarcasm Cool

Pure awesome... I've always liked the Y-Wing slightly better than the X-Wing, anyways (even though it flew like a rock in the original "X-Wing" PC game).
