Well as we all know its a 'New Year' and a whole 12 months worth of new modeling time. I'm really glad i got back into modeling, and this time painting entire models (about 4 years ago i used to just snap together)...anyways, with this new enthusiasm for modeling, ive got quite a list of projects ahead of me...so i figured id share my list of models i have planned this year, and id hope you guys would share what you guys have planned for 2007!
Note: (You are welcome to not mention your 'Massively Super Secret Classified' models that other modelers may steal ideas from
)
Anyways heres my list:
1. Finish MG Crossbone Gundam
2. Redo an old snapped together (No Grade) 1/100 Freedom Gundam
3. MG MK.II Titans V2.0
4. MG Zeta V2.0
5. HG Mechanix Val Waloo
6. Macross Zero SV-51 Gamma Nora 1/72
7. MG Ball Shark

I don't have that many secret projects this year, this year I have two projects to focus on completing this year. I have 5 large sheets of styrene plastic, and I always wanted to do a 1/35 mobile suit; we will see how far I get this year...
:sherlock:
1. 1/35 Kampfer
2. 1/100 Hazel
I want to be realistic with my expectations.

With luck, 2007
might
be the year I stop hand-painting and start air-painting.
Who knows. That's about as far as my modeling goals go.

In five weeks I move in to my new house. So relocation is a big project on the to-do list. But afterward there's a lot I want to accomplish, including:
Finish the 1:1000 Enterprise for my dad (finally)
Complete the 1:100 Zaku Kai
At least one Armored Core model
Set up a darkroom for some photography projects (Laura hasn't had a chance to do a lot of her artwork lately, so we're looking forward to using some of the space in the house as studio space.)
1:100 Galbaldy Beta (I always enjoyed Bawoo's buildups of old kits like these - I'd really like to see him finish the Gaz R/L sometime... But I was surprised when I got this kit - it's a better kit than I would have thought!)

Next up on my list is a 1/48 scale SR-71, from there is a MG Master Gundam, MG GP01Fb, PG Zaku, and MG ExS. Maybe I can get started detailing some of the kits that are currently just snapped together like the MG Sazabi and MG FAZZ.

I hate to stray from the original post, but i tend to be a handpainter as well, its something i just enjoy doing, but i feel limited in a sense that things like shading are nearly impossible for handpainters (atleast i havent figured a good way of doing it). How do you like handpainting so far?

Since that's how I've always done it, I'm not quite sure how to answer that.
It beats the hell out of cans of spray paint, Sharpie markers, and bare plastic?
I think it's a little more limiting than airbrushing--especially with regard to shading--but enjoyable. I'm not in any hurry to get to airbrushing. I just figure that it's about time to try something new. And I'm sure I'll still be doing plenty of hand-brushing far into the future.

I only managed to complete two kits this past year.
MG Gelgoog
RG Strike Freedom 'Lightning Edition'
This year however, I intend to finish the following (since I'll graduate in a few months):
1/100 WSC LED Mirage
1/100 MG Nu Gundam w/ Ako Hobby Conversion
1/100 MG RX-78-2 (the one I have posted in the WIP section)
1/100 MG Kaempfer
1/35 G-System Hi-Nu Head Display
1/35 G-System RX-78-GP02 (when I work out a deal with the seller)
Also plan on building a few cars. Got a couple of Porsche 917's from Fujimi around, aswell as two Corvette Grand Sport and two McLaren M8B's from Accurate Miniatures.
But I'll start with finishing my RX-78-2 and LED Mirage. :)

I plan to finish sanding down all of my models and then begin work on the following:
MG RX-78G
MG GM Sniper
MG GM
MG RX-78-2
HGUC Hazel TR-1
I have a feeling that these might be the only ones I get done but who knows

As of today....
Finish my 1/48 m10 (almost done, first completed work on the boards finally...)
Then the 1/48 tiger 1
Then a polar lights delorean (actually can't wait for this one, going to have to strip chrome and do some simple mods to make it look a little better)
Eventually my kampfer will get finished for the comp, eventually.
After those, who knows, but the chances are high it will be some more 1/48 stuff, it really is addicting.

KKKKK*
.
- MG Hi-Zack (AoZ conversion) for local groupbuild (deadline in March)

My
2007 Side Project
list:
- Non-scale scratchbuild Invader Zim vignette titled
"Invader Zim: Ride The Pig!"
- Halcyon's 1/9th Judge Dredd (Movie Version)
- Revell 1/9th Werner's "Red Porsche Killer" for a local 'Scaled Autoshow'.
My
"If time permits"

- diorama called "Wings: Evolution of Gundam Wing"
- MG Black Tri-Star Official MS line up (from MS-05B to MS-14S)
- 1/100 Wave's Vatshu The Black Knight
*MOD EDIT:
It's a "KKKKK"--not to be confused with a certain hate group using three K's.
