hey all
long time reader but never can remember my password. i have to say this is a very informative forum. i can always count on reading or finding something new to learn or store away in this resin dust filled thing i call a brain.
little background
ive been doing at least resin figures for about ten years, i find the prep and detailing the most enjoyable part.
well about this time last year i took a small interest in gundam, picked up my first bandai kit and cleaned and built in a nite then all hell broke loose and became obsessed. not in the story or history just some of the designs.
my second gundam build was pg astray, then i picked up my first resin kit, after harassing some people "you know who you are" about how much they spent on theirs i have turned into one of them and fully in love. i have all the detail i could ever want and in my favorite medium resin. so thanks to g-system and sms and now grand system i probably have around 150 pounds of resin in my closet......hmmmm wonder if thats considered hazardous???
anyway just wanted to finnaly say hi and everyone keep up their great work as its inspiring.

Hello everyone!
A good friend of mine told me about this forum, read a few posts, looked at a few builds and I just knew I had to sign up. I've been working on kits for a while, but I'm still not close to being advanced, so I'm looking to get a little help in order to improve.
I'm looking forward to getting to know you all, as well as sharing a few builds.
See ya around!

Greetings everyone! I've been building and collecting models for most of my life dating back to the old Testers model of the month club of the 70's. I remember my first kit a 1/24 corvette I built using scotch tape to hold it together.
This is such a great site, its going to take forever to look though.
Thank you for sharing,
Ty

Hi Everyone!
I have been into modeling (mainly Gundam Master Grades) since 1997 and stopped around 2004. The last kit I remember building was the MG Strike Rouge. As of January this year I have rekindled my love for modeling by building the MG Exia Ignition Mode. While searching the net for pictures of Exia I stumbled across this site. All my kits have been out of box builds and I have always wanted to paint and customize my kits but could never build up the courage. However since surfing through this site, reading the tutorials and spending hours in the gallery I have been inspired to break out my kits and redo them!
So thanks to Fichtenfoo and other modelers on this site for the inspiration! I look forward posting up some work and developing my skills!
Thanks,

I'm happy to see here such an other great name of this hobby! If you will make half like professional dioramas as the 'authentic' class, i should be very inspired! I'm waiting your projects!

Well I guess I should start things off by saying hello to the board.
I am an avid modeler having done kits for years and having advanced to scratch building in more recent years. Starting off with aviation models and advancing to military armor kits, I am primarily having fun with Warhammer 40k related modeling for the Imperial Guard. I have had to learn to do a lot without good access to a workshop or an airbrush, being primarily restricted to what I can fit into a tool box.
So I guess I will leave the intro at that and just make the general statement that I hope to pick up techniques and continue to improve my modeling.
